Not same quality as the mens boot.
Concerned that the women's boot is not quite the quality of the men's. The sight claims they are the same but the foam (as shown in picture) is thinner in the women's. Also, the men's boot is almost three inches taller than the women's. The other difference is the men's boot has a more aggressive tread ( women's is the bottom boot). Must add that the price I paid for the women's boot was almost $100 less than the men's version, but has the same performance rating to - 148F. Hoping that the company makes the boots to the same quality. It is a concern knowing that women are known to have colder feet than men. As a woman I find it frustrating that it is difficult to find boots made for quality instead of fashion .

Great boots in Manitoba!
I bought those to prepare for curling outdoor in Manitoba. I normally wear size 7 but after checking other users' reviews, I bought size 8 M. It was just right size and kept my feet warm when I was curling, sightseeing and walking outdoors in Manitoba Winnipeg. Also love one more feature of this boots: easy to wear in and out. Super convenient at the airport for security check! No need to lace up or down. No struggle to take feet out of boots (even socks). Also it truly was waterproof when it snowed and rained. But if you were going to stand still at outdoors for quite a while without moving, your feet do feel cold from the sole. At least for me at the curling opening ceremony. But once I moved around, the boots warmed up right away. Strongly recommended.

Very warm!
This is a very warm boot. I would not wear it if temp is not below freezing. I have an active 2yr old Labradoodle who loves to stay out during the snow and I find my feet unbearably cold waiting for him outside. Super warm but the it looks huge. The padding in the boot is very thick. I wear size 6.5 and got size 8 after reading reviews and it's very very snug inside and foam pitching my toes. I guess that's why it's warm. Attached with pics to show how big it is compare to my normal shoe. Also I will still need to attach ice grip on icey days. I was sliding and had to watch my step after freeze rain. It's my first Baffin and I'm very happy that it keeps my feet warm and dry. Good Waterproof. Minus one star for bulkiness and style.

Make sure the wide heel area is good for your foot; otherwise Great Boots.
Great boot in terms of keeping one's feet warm; order one size larger than your normal shoe size. My wife is an 8; we ordered a 9. Fit was great in the front of the boot (possibly a bit tight on the toes); HOWEVER, as as others have mentioned, the heel area is cut too wide - her foot moved up and down. If she put thicker socks on, her heel still moved not as much - but then the front of the boot is too tight (narrow) and toes jam up against the front of the boot. Again, if this boot fits your foot it is a great boot! BUT they have made the heel too wide for many women - and it is difficult, if not impossible, to compensate for (by wearing thicker socks). So if Amazon has a free returns offer, then purchase this boot...if not you may be returning shoes at your cost...

the toe box is small and the heel is very wide
I'm debating if I want to return or exchange for men's size. I take a woman's 10.5 and ordered an 11; the biggest woman's size. My toes hit the front of the boot and the toe box is snug but the heel is huge. Reviews were correct. So I will post a question to the manufacturer. I'm disappointed as I am really ready to try these out in the Adirondack winters (-35 deg at times)........... I returned this item and bought a men's size 10 and the heel in the men's is narrower than the woman's boot. So it is true to order at least a full size up.

Best boots ever, but sprung a leak.
These boots are amazing and definitely worth the price. I was super impressed.I think I got a pair with a manufacturing flaw as the seal failed after about 3 weeks and they leaked. I have faith in the product and purchased another pair of th same. I'm impressed with Baffin and feel they outperform Sorrel. I'm thinking the leak was a one time thing.

Very very warm snowboot!
I'm soooooo glad I bought these boots now that we've been pummeled by 21 inches of wet heavy snow. These boots are perfect for heavy snow in subzero temps. Just a warning though, these boots look BIG! Understandably so because they're rated for -148. I'm not sure how many people in the world are elite enough to ever test this assertion, but they will likely work for whatever cold temperatures I'll ever experience. If you're into the new Ugg boot look, then they won't look comparatively that big but they are warm because they have a 1" foam liner inside them. They look a lot like snowboarding boots when you put them on. The liner makes it hard to tuck any normal pant cuffs inside them but if you're wearing long underwear with skipants then this works or you can roll your cuffs up and tuck them inside the cinch sleeve at the top. I wear a 7.5 street shoe and ordered a size 8 which fits perfectly. I am 5'4" and the boot comes up about mid-calf and it's about 14-15" tall from the ground. The shoe part of it is 12" measuring from the heel to the toe.

Width is an issue!
I bought these and Baffin Apex. There was no width to select and the box says aaa. The foot was so tight I knew I couldn’t keep them. However, they were not clunky and were more flexible than the Baffin. If not for being so narrow in the foot these would have been my first choice. I sadly returned them.

Wouldn't be without a pair in a Canadian winter!
This is a replacement pair. The new boots are considerably lighter than my last pair, which is a bonus. My last pair finally gave up after well over 10 years of hard use. The coldest I wore my last pair was -42C. I never had cold feet no matter how cold it was or how long I was outside or how intense (or not) the activity. I'm glad I read the reviews wrt size. I'm normally a size 6.5 or 7, so bought a size 8 and they are a perfect fit. Still enough room for thick socks if I need them, but I wore them in -10C with thin summer socks this morning and my toes were toasty. Almost too warm! I love these boots and wouldn't be without a pair.

Sizes are off
For shoes I am a size 6.5 perfectly in length but because of the width of my toes i wear a 7. Typically a size 7 fits loose and slides on my heels. After hearing the reviews i figured a 7 boot would be perfect. Unfortunately they fit me more like a 6.5 shoe fits me. Tight at the sides and no room at the toes. I tried wearing them in the house to see if they will adjust as they have tons of cusion but my feet hurt after 5 minutes. I sadly sent them back. Im guessing a size 8 will be way too big.

Order a size bigger or 1.5 bigger.
Fits snug. Can't drive with them on as they are huge. My feet fall asleep, not sure if it's from being snug or not moving around enough. Super warm, whole reason for getting them. Nice grip, won't fall or slip on ice. Bought them for ice fishing. -40 temps, feet always warm. Only wear them ice fishing, good quality. Had them 2 seasons now. Removable liners, never had to remove them. Waterproof boot.

Order a size up for wiggle room
Love these boots, but definitely order at least a size up if you want to move your toes AT ALL! I'm usually a true women's size 7, based on other reviews I ordered and 8, and the liner is SOOO thick I could've ordered a 9 and would've been fine. I'd recommend putting them on warm though, if your feet are cold going in and you can't move your toes very well, you'll have a hard time warming them up. Maybe even some heat pads and you'd be more than perfectly good to go. I needed something super warm for a snowmobiling trip and these are perfect.
