Hengstenberg Knax Crunchy Gherkins, 1.5L

I absolutely was blown away buy the flavors of this pickle. Not super sour. Not bland. Just a nicely balanced flavor profile like my grandmother used to make when I was a kid.The downside is that the pickles aren't very crisp like the ones we're used to in the states. But the slightly softer texture makes for easy chewing with every bite and is also more like home made.Ever notice that those extra crispy pickles have additives that you probably wouldn't put in your own pickles if you made them from scratch?

These are the best dam* pickles I've ever had. Perfect balance between sweet and sour, and they're so tasty! Some reviewers describe these as watered down. Well that's because the brand uses about 1/4 the salt that major US brands use. I can actually eat more than one and not have to drink a gallon of water afterwards. Little pricey, but I'm good with that. Great product!!

These are without a doubt the best pickles I have ever tasted. They are truly good when they are ice cold. They need to be refrigerated for a few hours before you try them. The best pickles I have ever tasted! I am addicted to them. I found them at big lots for four dollars a bottle. I’ve been giving them as gifts to my friends and neighbors!

I previously had this brand and best pickles ever, BUT , these are sweet and well over priced even if they were real dill kosher pickles,, found same ones at Big Lots for. $ 4.75.Don’t waste ur money unless u like sweet pickles

I liked them very much. I was stationed in West Germany for tour of duty in the mid 60s. I was TDY there for 2 to 3 times prior to retirement from active duty in the 90s. I had not had these pickles since them. My wife & I have since grown accustomed to American dill pickles.

The first time I ordered the mail man, just dropped the package on my patio and the jar broke. Very unfortunate and I think this could be avoided with a “fragile” warning.Anyway, today I received an unbroken jar of deliciousness and I am very happy. They taste just like the pickles I am used to from home (Germany).

It can from Amazon in a big box but without much packing around this big jar of pickles. Was pleasantly surprised that the pickle jar was still intack. The Hengstenburg pickles are the best, and always have been. Big, crunchy, not too sour - just right.
