Excellent Craftsmanship, Superior Customer Service, the Perfect OWB/OTW Leather Holster
Quality craftsmanship and superior customer service. If you want a durable, well designed, hand crafted holster for your pistol or revolver, I heartily recommend 1791 Gun Leather.UPDATE: 06-26-2018: 1791 came through as stated and sent me replacement holster at no charge, even though I had returned the original for a refund. The fit for my P365 is perfect right out of the package - not too loose and not too tight. According to the invoice, the new holster is model DHC where the original was BHG-43.Like the P365, the holster is compact and comfortable. It fits close to my hip, holds the gun securely, fits my leather belt perfectly and allows concealment without printing under my usual XL t-shirt or button down shirt that I wear outside my shorts (Mississippi in summer is definitely shorts and t-shirt/loose shirt weather). I wish I could up my rating from 5 stars to 6 or 7. OUTSTANDING!! (photos are of the new holsterI purchased this holster for a Sig Sauer P365 based on the recommendation on their website and the fact that most comparisons for the P365 are to the Glock 43. Unfortunately, the holster was a bit too loose for safe carry of the P365 so I returned it. So why, you ask, did I give a 5 star review? Customer service!I emailed the seller citing the issue of the holster being too loose for the P365 and provided measurements of the slide and trigger guard of both my 365, a friend's G43 and my wife's G42. The slide widths, measured with a precision caliper, are P365 = 0.91", G42 = 0.92", and G43 = 1.02". The P365 trigger guard is 0.02" narrower than the G43 and virtually identical to the G42. My conclusion was that the same holster for a G42 would have been a better choice.Their response was more than I expected. They provided a very clear explanation of the the issue and are crafting a holster custom for a P365 that they will send to me at no charge. That really surprised me!!For the benefit of other P365 owners and, for the matter, other potential purchasers who are concerned about fit, I am going to share part of their response email:QUOTE..We really appreciate your detailed feedback as it helps us improve our products and service. We are not perfect but strive to get better every day. With regards to your question...The short answer is that we are sorry for your troubles and are going to fit a holster in our offices for a P365 and send it to you free of charge. The longer answer is more involved and centers around the fact that leather is a moldable/pliable material and its very manufacture it to exact tolerances (unlike kydex) since changes in humidity during storage and transportation can cause it to either shrink or expand millimeters. Also, when working with a natural thick material such as steerhide there will always be very small differences in size between each holster. The combination of these effects can sometimes cause a holster to be a bit too big which is what we believe happened in your case. With regards to the G42 holster being a better match for the P365, that is something we we debate endlessly in our company. The debate focuses on whether people want their holster to fit perfectly right out of the box or if they are willing to spending time breaking in the holster in the beginning. The feedback we have received is that most people want it to fit out of the box and therefore we recommend the slightly larger G43 holster for the P365 since it fits in smoothly right out of the box (except in your case where you got a defect). However, there are those of us in the office that believe the G42 holster is a better fit and that doing some work breaking in the holster up front pays big dividends in the long run. Unfortunately its impossible to easily explain this to people online and the times we have tried we got a lot of bad feedback about our holsters being too tight. That is why we have decided to recommend the G43 holster for the P365.UNQUOTE.Sorry for the long review but I hope this is helpful to others. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 1791 Gunleather if you are looking for a quality leather holster.

I have a few 1791 holsters and like them!
Very nice holster for the money. I have no qualms about using this compared with Bianchi, Desantis, etc. They are tight at first but break in well with use or you can always speed it up by stretching them some. I have one for G43 and S&W Airweights and like them both.

First Leather Holster, can't go back to IWB
I have the G43 compatible version of this holster. For years I carried IWB kydex tactical black ops high speed "this is the best way to carry" junk. I had hailey, trex, etc. etc. This holster rides high and tucks close to the body with the slim G43 and the comfort level is beyond anything IWB can match. In addition it rides high and hugs the body close. Easily concealed with a normal Tshirt. I see no point in going back to IWB when this hugs so close and rides so high. This may not be true of double stack frames or full size, but for a compact and slim gun like the G43 it's a shame I didn't try this setup first. Now for the holster. It's tight and won't seat the gun easily until break in. I did the bag trick recommended and it feels a bit better but it may need a few weeks of carry, mink oil, and frequent draws and reholsterings. The holster is well made and feels like a quality product. It's basic, allows full grip of the frame on draw, and rides high and tight. The muzzle doesn't protrude below my shirt line with the G43 setup.I also paired it with the belt from the same company. Fits well and overall a stiff setup. Spot on with the sizing.Summary: I wish I went leather OWB with this product years ago before IWB and the uncomfortable mess of kydex I have now retired.

Tight fit.
Took old school way of fitting leather. 1969 USMC boot camp...new leather boots were filled with hot water, let soak for a while, dump the water and put them on. Wore all day and in the end fit like a glove. Did the same with this holster and put the pistol in a plastic bag and inserted into the holster. Left to dry for 2 days. Fits great now.Other than that....the holster is heavy duty and well made.

Very well make using high quality leather
After leaving the gun in the holster for a couple of days the fit was what I was looking for. The gun is secure but also easy to pull from the holster. I had spoken with several people I know that concealed carry and they all said you want a good leather holster that is made for your gun. Don't even look at holsters that are made overseas as the leather is not of good quality and a lot thinner than holsters made in the USA.

Nice holster, but you do need to follow the directions to break it in plus
I followed the directions for break in, more or less. At first I couldn't hardly get the Glock 43 into the holster, without the freezer bag. Worked the gun like it said and left gun in holster for maybe an hour. It was still to tight for my likings. Put gun in freezer bag , it covered grip, so be it. Slid gun with freezer bag back into holster and left it there for awhile. Removed gun wrapped in freezer bag from holster. It was better but still two tight for my likings. I then gave the holster two coats of mink oil, inside and out, and slid the gun with freezer bag back in, left it that way overnight. Pulled it back out this morning. I then tried it again without bag, all most there, but not yet. I gave the holster another round of mike oil and added a sandwich bag inside of freezer bag. I'll leave it that way for a couple of hours, and see, but I feel I'll like it. If not I'll wear it some to see if it loosens up any, if not I add another sandwich bag and leave it that way overnight again.to I get it to the point where it's still tight, but beyond the point where it take two hand to pull it out.
