The product above came and I have to say I am impressed. Though the finish in the wand is not like the picture the color of the wood is great. The wand is 14 inches and the style of the wand is absolutely great. The weight of the wand is a bit lightweight for my liking, but its 5 ounces what would I expect. Will work great for my costume this upcoming Halloween and it did not break or crack when being shipped. Overall (minus the weight) really great wand. I don't know if it is mahogany or not, but I trust the seller, however this is made of real wood.

I received my wand this morning and I absolutely LOVE it! Sure, it's cool to have those character wands you can get from the Noble Collection, but it's much better to have a unique, hand-crafted wand. Not to mention these wands are about half the price of those name-brand character wands. I feel like I've just left Ollivander's! The wand is not heavy yet it is very sturdy, and the detail is just perfect. I would definitely order again! In the meantime, I need to practice my swish and flick a bit more!

I was drawn to this due to the twisted "rifled" styling—useful for keeping energy focused in a tight beam—and personal symbolism involving mahogany.This thing will not disappoint. It's quite long, beautiful gloss finish, sturdy.The way it's carved, the first part of the "blade" actually isn't all that different to the hand than the handle. This is very useful for someone like me who has relatively large hands, and needs a "hand and a half" of handle area. :)

It's not made out of solid wood, and it breaks very easily. It looks great but poor on sturdiness.

This is a beautiful piece of work, frankly surprising at the relatively low cost. Mine was a little lighter in color than it looks in the picture. Used this for a wizard costume and it stood out for its unique twist pattern, quite the hit!

I couldn't have been more pleased, an unbelievable wand at an unheard of price. Solid wood, hand made, and the finish was so nice, much better than those Noble Collection resin wands. Unfortunately It's a present for a friend, so I decided to get myself one. A 16 inch round walnut is my choice.
