Your slicer arrived on time and in excellent condition. Your product was purchased by and for my husband...he is “famous” for his homemade French fries. For years he had been using a similarly designed cutter: it had taut wire rather than steel blades like yours. He had problems with it and often resorted to simply using a knife to get the job done. Always on the lookout for a new way to get this task completed, he bought a new model that used leverage to force a potato through a similar cutter to yours, but using a handle to push down on. The unit had a plate that pushed the product through the cutter as the handle was pushed down...which allowed only smaller potatoes and even those jammed and could not get the product cleanly through the cutter. He returned it the day after purchase. While searching for yet another device, I found your product online. He figured it was worth a try. Within ten minutes of its arrival, he used it to core a Fuji apple. Your blades cut cleanly through the apple in a single motion! No jamming. No retry. No coaxing the apple through. “Wow! It cut through without getting wedged or cocked over!” He tried the potato cutter: Cut an end of a large spud to provide a flat surface, placed your cutter at the top of the spud and with a single stroke...zip! Cut right through! No struggle, no jamming, no super strength needed: just perfectly cut fries. He is delighted! One more of life’s little challenges has been met...thank you!

I bought this to slice potatoes for french fries and I have used it a couple of dozen times so far and it is holding it's sharpness well and it is easy to use. It is built very well. I would give it five stars but I have no idea what the the two little clear pieces are for and nothing came with it to indicate what they are for.

I'm giving this product 4 stars because it took a fair amount of practice to be able to cut potatoes for french fries. After ruining a few potatoes, and cutting myself twice on the rather-sharp blades, I came up with a method for success: hold the potato vertically, place the cutter on it, then pound the system down onto a cutting board while making sure the potato stays vertically aligned. Pushing the potato through did not work for me.

I used it for the first time yesterday to make French fries, which is why I bought it. My husband and I are vegans and make basically all our own food at home, and French fries are my favorite. We had a little trouble at first because with our old fry cutter, we would cut the potatoes in half and put the flat side down on the surface. The first few halves got stuck in the bottom of the slicer and we had to wiggle them out. It was scary after reading the reviews about how sharp the blades are. Then we decided to try doing it the opposite way and putting the round part on the flat surface, and it worked great. Once I figured that out, the rest were cut very quickly and easily with minimal wiggling. Overall I was very happy with it and it'll continue to be used for my weekly French fry binge. I'm not a video instructions person and prefer a written booklet. That would be my only suggestion, providing both. I spend all day on a computer and just don't want to go home and get back on it.

Purchased this product based on the 5 star reviews, used this to cut potatoes into fries the blades stopped short of cutting through to the bottom, the potatoes got stuck in the blades could not get them out now matter how hard I tried. Pushed from both sides of the blades, BIG MISTAKE cut both my thumbs. And the small about of potatoes still stuck in the blades did not come out in the dishwasher. Hope the apple cutter will work better.

I've only used this one so far since buying it and think it does a fine job! It didn't cut all the way down through my apple, but just pushing on each individual slice was more than enough to finish breaking it apart. I can see how this would be more annoying when using with potatoes, but overall I think it's only worthy of a 1 star deduction.My bigger complaint is that I got 3 emails asking me to review the product within days of buying it, lol. I understand you want feedback, but please give us some time to try the product first! :P

I absolutely love th e apple slicer! It's not too bulky, it's extremely sharp ( sliced my finger), and the packaging made me feel like I was receiving an exceptional product! I like the option to change out the different slicers for mangos and potato fries. I think you hit a home run with this one. My only recommendation is that you add a warning on just how sharp it is. I was pushing out an apple core and sliced my finger open. I am impressed by how sharp it actually is! I had another slicer that just doesn't compare to the quality and sharpness of your product! We have, indeed, received the slicer and it is a wonderful piece of workmanship.The blades are extremely sharp for perfect cutting. We used it to make frenchfries - our whole purpose for the purchase and it made consistent cuts andperfect fries. Blades are sharp...very sharp! I've cut my finger just getting it out of the cupboard. Bought it for slicing stones out of mangos and does a reasonably good job if not too ripe, but there will be some waste. Not keen on the chipper as it's not easy to get the cut potato out of the sharp blades without the possibility of causing injury. Tried the apple slicer and although it works well, lots of waste with the core so I prefer cutting by hand. Keep away from kids and clumsy adults!

Works like a dream on apples, the lady in the picture on the leaflet using the fries cutter is a liar, i have cuts across my knuckles as a result of falling for the picture. Turned up as described, we use it every day on the go for apples, haven't used the other functions after the potato drama.

The product itself is fantastic - it comes with clear instructions on which extras to use (it does so much more than I was expecting it to), and is all in its own keepable box for storage. My stepmother is really pleased with it. The aftersales was also impressive - a personal email from the company owner to ensure satisfaction shows that they really do want to look after the consumer.

Was great at first but it has blunted quite quickly, the potato chip maker does not cope with sweet potatoes. It does not always slice all the way through and then you have to pick out the pieces which is irritating. Often the potatoes and sometimes the mangos do not fit through. When I first got this I thought it was great but it has aged badly, (I have only had it a few months).

This product is very, very sharp. I've cut myself on it purely by mistake, but it was that easy to cut me. It's well out of the way from children and it doesn't get left in the sink where we might forget that it's under water. Non-the-less, I'm happy that it is so sharp as it performs effectively. Very happy with this product.
