Nice effect.
Good to have for a lot of those classic rock songs where a little jingle-jangle on the tambourine is a nice touch. Conveniently placed on the hi-hat, you can add the tambo to your snare hits without having to reach away with your hi-hat hand. Also adds a nice jingle to your hi-hat stomp if you go hard enough.

Adds a little something
I wanted some kind of mounted tambourine on my kit, and this does the trick. It's not as loud as a "real" mounted tambourine, but it functions as described, so how could I be disappointed? I can play my kit as I normally do, and now I have a tambourine to hit with a stick as the need arises. It is silent when I'm playing a closed or open hi-hat, and it adds a touch of zing when I press the hi-hat pedal. Cool beans!

Pretty good product
Good product. Very durable. You do have to stomp a little harder than I’d like to get much sound, but it’s okay. Responds pretty well to being hit with sticks as an alternative as well.

Not enough ching! Junk!
It's to heavily built, has no ching, I'd return it if it were more expensive.I was hoping it would be like the 1960s type "Ching Ring" I had then. Not enough ching!Don't buy

Great for percussion kit!
When I was putting together a cajon/percussion kit. I was looking for something far quieter than my larger Rhythm Tech hi hat model. This tambourine is bright sounding and cuts nicely with hi hat cymbals in low amplification situations. I use it by itself on a hi hat stand and it is very responsive to the lightest of foot taps, and will surprise you when the dynamics pick up as well. Well built with a strong frame, it will handle stick playing just fine and plays great with hands also. I do a little of both with it. If you need a crisp controlled sound with plenty of bite this will do nicely.

Well made and sounds great
I've been beating on this thing for 2 weeks now. I love the sound and it is very easy to mount right on the cymbal post above the hi-hat. Very nice, highly recommended.

Sounds Good
Meinl percussion products just sound better than anything else I've tried. Has a nice ring - not a heavy clank like other brands. It's also sturdy and easy to attach.

Very compact and sturdy
It is very well built and I am sure this will last a long time. For standard percussion use it works great.I got this as an experiment for my hi-hat. It didn't work as I had hoped, so I am trying to build my own foot driven tambourine apparatus to accommodate this device. Just the foot action on the hi-hat cymbal stand is not enough to get much sound out of it. To get any sound you have to strike it. I really like the small diameter and with some modifications to a foot peddle, I am sure I can get this functioning the way I originally planned.

Get your Bonham hi-hat jingle on...
I bought this so as to get a Bonham hi-hat jingle going on, as and when required. It's decently made, sounds fine, and isn't overly large. A previous similar'ish one I had was too big and heavy, really affecting the action of the hi-hat way too much. I forget what I paid for this. It feels to me that it was neither super cheap nor very expansive, i.e. about fair/right. I give it only four and not five stars just on account of having used it a lot less than anticipated.

Hi-hat tamborine.
Bought on monday arrived tuesday been thinking about it for a while now i cannot wait to try it out it was not as small as it looks in the picture and have a cowbell and jam block and wanted to get a bit of different sounds for when i jam with mates in the studio. As i love to try a bit of creativity not just be stuck in the 1 groove as i listen to lots of different styles of music and i like when there is a lot of different sounds like harmonica organs and even trombone or saxaphone etc and wanted to have this gizmo to give the drums a bit of variety.

Well made little tambourine that gives a good jingle
Gives a nice jingle sound that’s not over the top. Small enough not get in the way of sticks playing the hi hat. It is quick and easy to fit and remove which means you can add it just for certain songs or tunes. It’s also well made and robust. All in all a useful little accessory.

Glad I added this to my kit.
It really adds a different feel to the songs that need it, but I make a note on my set list as I don't want it all the time. It's no fuss to put it on or take it off so it stays on a case next to my Hi Hat and drink, within reach. It's not too loud but just sits in the mix really well. I haven't recorded with it but have heard people's recordings on YouTube and Facebook and it does it s job very well. A very useful add-on for a modest outlay. I should add that it doesn't get in the way when playing and it isn't heavy so won't alter the feel of your Hi Hat pedal.

Nice sound, right size the only fault is the freedom of movement of the chimes, they should have used a plain steel rod that hold the chimes instead of a notched (screw) type as the chimes do not ride free up and down, hard to explain, but oh so obvious on the item, maker should rectifi this
