Metal Slug 4 & 5 - Xbox

Old School 2D! Fun as all get out, but be warned it is a true button-masher! You'll need some cool-down time for those over-heated thumbs after about 20 minutes of this wild ride.True in almost every aspect to the original; it's a nice trip down memory lane. (for those of you who actually remember the neighborhood arcade.)Good graphics and very satisfying gunplay. Explosions are good too.A worthy purchase for the "old school" arcade aficianado!

Good games to play old-school.

Metal Slug 4 & 5 continues the adventure. The best part of these two versions is that you don't have to keep restarting the missions when your characters run out of lives. You start where your last life is lost. My son loves playing these two versions.

I might have given a higher rating but my husband didnt even get to play it since it cannot be played on Xbox 360. Partially my fault since I didn't know there was a list of old games that could be played on the 360. I wish I would have known that before paying this price and reselling it won't even be worth it....

The Metal Slug series is a new spin on "Contra Clone" games, although in many gamers' opinions the Metal Slug series is actually a lot better than Contra. The last game to be released on XBOX was Metal Slug 3, a fantastic game. Now come the next two.In MS3, the emphasis of the game was placed on the fun of the sheer weirdness found in the game. Yetis, zombies, a monkey with an uzi, and even the ability to become obese gave the game tons of appeal because it was both funny and enjoyable to play. Although a bit overpriced at $40, it was the best game in the series, so I didn't complain. MS 4 and 5 are extremely similar to each other, but are two games, and are thus a better value than the previous foray into the Metal Slug world.There is a lot less interest in these games. You cannot be fat, there's no monkey helper, and most of the enemies you'll be fighting will be nothing more than ordinary troops. However, to make up for this, the battles in this game are qite a bit more frantic and bloody than MS3's. These games are far more action packed than 3, even if they are a little less interesting.In terms of new stuff, apart from new stages, there isn't much. MS4 introduces the ability to weild 2 heavy machine guns at once for double the firepower, and MS5 lets you slide on the ground to avoid enemy fire. These additions dont add much to the overall package, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.Some might scoff at the 2 dimensional graphics. Most people, like me, are willing to give a game a chance as long as its fun to play. If you are one of these purist types, this game is not for you. If you are a wimp who cannot play games with any modicum of difficulty, this game is not for you. It is hard. However, if you care more about having a total blast without having to shell out quarters every time you die, you're gonna have a lot of fun blowing the crap out of swarms of goofy looking soldiers, monsters, and vehicles. There is no shortage of either weapons or enemies, and I can't really think of a point where either of the games got boring for me.If you aren't sure about you tastes, rent this one first. If you bought MS3 and liked it, just buy it. Thats all there really is to say about this incredible pair. Have fun.

Game came fast and everything is in like new condition in original case and with the booklett. And its a 2 game set, for $4 wat a deal. I emailed them to ask about a tracking number but the game came even b4 they cud reply.

Funny that I enjoy this game so much. Usually I like a more complicated and in depth game such as Baldurs gate, but theres a certain draw to this type of game for me. Maybe its the hours of playing contra on nintendo that made me think of this game. Its a hell of a game for sure, tons of action and lots of destruction. Just like it was in the arcade. Just like in the arcade its designed to make you spend tons of quarters (expect to die a lot). Lots of weapon power-ups make it much more interesting. I find that my hand hurts after a few rounds from mashing the buttons so hard. Honestly though as far a replay value, its not on the highest scale unless you want to beat your scores from the last time you played. Its still a lot of fun and a good challenge with plenty of funny little tidbits. If you like plenty of button mashing contra-style arcade play this is the game for you...

Hace mucho buscaba este juego. Increíble que aún lo tengan en el xbox clásico.Fue una buena compra, el disco es original. Lo he jugado sin problemas.
