Really good value
A lot bigger than I was expecting! It comes with all the kit to help you build your drone. Spend some time calibrating it and flying it in doors before you take it outside. Really good handling and flies really well.

Great choice!
This drone is great for people who don't want to pay a lot. Everything that came in the box was what I expected. Setup was very easy. Flight controls are simple to use and responsive. Battery life is about 10-minute range per charge using the camera. You can increase flight time, if you're not recording, by disconnecting the camera as it draws valuable power (actually a lot of power). You can also save a little (minuscule) weight by removing the camera altogether when not needed. As a novice, I found it better to remove the camera to have longer practice time flying. When I got comfortable with it, I added the camera back to the quad to start filming some flights. Overall if u are thinking to get this, DO IT. I'm very happy with this purchase.

SYMA are one of the best!
So I’ve had many drones in the past and let me start by saying SYMA is one of the best! Value for money, quality and sheer amount of fun that can be had are all highlights of what you can expect from SYMA!The drone itself is a nice size, not too small and also not to big. It comes equipped with a camera for viewing in flight footage on your mobile device. The handset is very comfy in the hand and range seems to be great, battery life is can be expected from all drones. I would recommend buying some extra batteries and a charger that can charge multiple batteries at once, these can be bought from Amazon. All in all this is highly recommended and I can tell you this will not be the last SYMA drone I purchase!

Punches high for its price--Good all rounder
So I've had a lot of drones over the years, from tiny play ones to large aerial photography drones like the Yuneec Q500 to ones I built myself.I have therefore had quite a bit of experience flying different types of vehicles and I have to start off by saying, this is quite fun.I don't know if it feels quite fun because I haven't flown a large drone like this in 6 months since I sold my Yuneec. But overall I am pretty impressed. It is a very good all round drone. It gets some suprisingly good images, considering the camera is effectively a Go Pro Knockoff with less quality and no active gimballing. It has a small mechanical gimbal which is a rubberized pad, this takes out a little bit of tremor but not all.I am suprised though. Attached you can see some of the images I have taken with it and hopefully videos as well.So firstly the cost. It is quite expensive, coming in currently at around half of what a DJI phantom costs, and for an extra 50 or 60 quid you could squeeze a second hand Parrot Bebop off ebay. But if this is going to be your first drone and you want an entry to aerial photography that is still fun to fly, and most importantly, pretty indestructible, then this is definitely a competitor. The drone market is now flooded with drones 'inspired heavily' by DJI Phantoms etc...and usually some are alright but most aren't very good. This is definitely one of the better ones i have seen and flown. The frame is pretty lightweight, it handles well in fairly strong wind, when in high toggle mode.Usually they get blown around a lot. This is because they tend to cut down on weight so they can save on motors and ESCs. This usually leaves the motors lacking somewhat and thus in strong wind they don't cope. This can just about cope. It is about as light as you can get away with, whilst still having enough power to fly in reasonably windy conditions. Obviously, the more weight, the better they handle, but usually means larger battery is needed. In terms of handling, it is fun. I prefer to use high toggle mode as they call it. High power mode, it can be easily switched in and out of using the left finger tab button on the remote. It means you can lift off in low power mode, which is significantly less responsive and ultimately designed for people who are jsut learning how to fly, to high power where you can then get some serious speed.Set up is fairly easy, although (much to my disappointment in myself!) I did sturggle, because I put the rotors the wrong way round, being used to a slightly different configuration on my self-built drone, I put the rotors on in that order. But they go diagonally not front then back. But thankfully the sellers were able to quickly help me out and they spotted it very quickly! So if you do have any issues with this drone at all, at least you know the amazon sellers are good!In terms of the features, I will admit it is lacking somewhat, but it depends on what you want. I had a large Yuneec and it had some amazing features, but because of it, it made it slower and safer and ultimately less fun to fly.I love flying drones on the edge of their capabilities, getting them to plow forwards at 45 degree angle and free fall flips are all part of the fun with drones. The lack of GPS and other features which start to creep in at this price bracket (although they are usually not very good anyway) means that don't really expect return to home to be any decent, because it does it instead by calculating vectors of control inputs, then works out its starting point, roughly. But obviously no GPS means that it isnt accurate because wind has a large effect on your flight path. But it does has some other decent features. I like the ability to stop and start video easily using the controller, though its a shame it doesnt have fpv like its big brother drone does.It has pre programmed flips which for kids is good fun!! If your an adult and want to do your own stunts, dont worry, I have managed to do so far 3 free fall flips, although it works better to do this without the camera moving with the wind to build up the momentum. It has good gyroscopic stabilasation. Usually this lacks significantly but when in low toggle mode, it does this very well.Headless mode I have only used once, but that is my preference because I will to fly it properly. But headless mode is fantastic if youre beginning and worried about losing track of which direction is forwards.Hovering, it does fairly well. Not amazing, but considering it has no GPS, it does do it astoundingly well. The HD Camera, I am impressed with. Though it may not be the best quality, and it does sharpen the images and struggle with exposure, it is good at not lagging in video. Usually these cameras if you move fast, will struggle to keep up with it and thus usually the frame rate is pretty poor. Luckily not the case.I do have some criticisms though.Firstly, the propellers could be slightly easier to attach. Don't get me wrong, it is a great way of attaching props without then having to be self tightening, but it still needs some improvement to make it easier to remove. Though that might just be me not having much strength to my pinch grip. The auto-land feature, it takes too long to kill the motors when it has landed. If you had to cut it because of an emergency, you want to be able to do so quickly. It takes around 3-4 seconds to kill. This is because they've integrated it into the joystick so its easy for kids to land. But really they could do with a power button as well so you start the motors in idle, then use joystick to move from there. The other thing is, low power. DO KEEP AN EYE OUT. I got a little bit too infused, and flew it at about 70m, where I could not see it was on low power. Now it did slowly bring itself to the ground which is good. It did what it was supposed to.Except that when you have it as high as I did, ran out of battery before autoland completed.Easily solved. Don't go that high when you are nearing the end of your battery. Or, keep a better eye out by using the battery status on the controller.Having said that, it got down to 5m, before any issues. It dropped from there. Not a scratch. Not even so much as a bent prop guard. It bounced and was fine!Definitely excellent if you are a kid!! Even better if you're someone who pushes boundaries like me.They are my main 3 criticisms. Overall I am quite impressed. It does quite a lotFor a kids drone, it is ideal because of low power mode. But that doesn't limit it to just kids. It is an overall good all rounder. It fills a gap in the market in my opinion of entry level aerial photography whilst still being fun, cheap and indestructibleUpdate:Sadly after having this for about half a year, and not flying that regularly, the motors have burnt out! I reckon that I only had around less than 20 flight hours on it as well! It's a shame! I enjoyed it whilst it lasted but I think strapping a heavier camera to it and flying it about has burnt the motors out sadlyI wouldn't advice adding your own camera, if it's heavier, because it stresses the motors too much and as I've found out, it's not got much added redundancy i.e. potential for increased load on the motors

All in all good quality entry level drone, lots of fun and highly recommend
This drone is very good for beginners. Assembly is as easy as it comes, it's basically look at the image and put the pieces where they're situated in the photo. There is a well written instruction manual which comes with the product but I didn't deem it necessary I presume it is more for troubleshooting. The 2 axis controller works very well. It features a nice display which gives you all the information you need such as axis direction, controller battery, signal strength etc.The phone holder is exceptionally useful. Download the app and clip your phone onto the controller and off you go to use FPV. The camera is, okay. It is low-spec on paper but in reality it does everything you need for the FPV.The drone is very quick and go a considerable distance without losing connection, which is a problem which I have faced before when using cheaper drones. It comes with spare propellers as well so in the case that you do hit something you're covered when it comes to that side of things. All in all good quality entry level drone, lots of fun and highly recommend.

Good for indoors, not outdoors
Unless you have absolutely no wind I wouldn't recommend flying it outdoors as it's simply not powerful enough against even the slightest gust of wind (almost lost it twice) the camera quality is okay but expected something a bit better for the price but hey go.The controller feels very cheap and it's very uncomfortable, and it's too sensitive for my liking. The drone itself can take a beating as I've flown it into lots of walls and it has slammed into the floor on numerous occasions for an emergency landing when it got too windy or ran out of power. The legs on it aren't very good and bend with ease which can be an issue when landing on uneven terrain.
