Yunge 603B Aquarium Fish Tank 105 GPH External Canister Filter Mini Filter w/Biochemical Ball

I am not given to writing many of these revues. I admit a lot of the time I just cannot be bothered. When i ordered the Yunge 603B Aquarium Fish Tank 105 GPH External Canister Filter Mini Filter w/Biochemical Ball i did not do so intending to write a revue. When it arrived i was instantly impressed. You have to remember here you are paying £28 for a canister filter with its own pump, filter media and pipework included. I know your first reaction is probably: "I bet its thin plastic and easily breakable" Thats where you are, and I was, wrong. The canister is sturdy and the filter media ia good quality and there are even filter biochemical media balls included. Now that i am waxing lyrical about this you might wonder if I have any experience to justify my enthusiasm and i can say yes to that. I have kept fish for 50 years now and had all manner of Aqaurium equipement including canister filters that cost considerably more. This only cost £28 and my biggest concern was will it leak. I can say catergorically it does not. I cannot speak to the longevity of the pump as i have only just recieved it but it is very quiet and its use in the house would not interfere with tv or radio listening. The supplied media is very acceptable and a bonus inclusion. I saw more expensive canisters while searching that did not include media. The pipe and fittings all go together well and none of the joints leaked. Overall, i would say exceptional for £28 and i would recommend it to anyone with a tank of up to 25-30 gallons (and very likely more) to look no further.Now I have owned and used this cannister filter for nearly 7 months I thought I would update my review.Ive been using it consistently on a 30 gallon (imitation) wooden barrel on my patio. The barrel contains several fish (and one very persistent frog). I have had the cannister filter running 24/7 and the pump has not faultered once. The water in the barrel is crystal clear much like the quality of water you see koi kept in.The filter has far surpassed my expectations of it given its price point.

Well at first i thought.....Perfect addition for my Shrimp Tank... not too powerful but creates a lovely secondary filter to help keep my water sparkle Clear!.....Sadly after less than 2 x months I've had to bin the lot.... pump just kept sticking and stopping water extraction so in the end I feel really let down....sorry ....yes I understand it was cheap.... the flow rate was fine but to stop working after several weeks was a propper let down!! 😓

This is just awful, it cleans NOTHING, I have gone back to my internal filter whose power is 10x that if this pathetic filter. It was cheap and I guess u get what u pay for!!!! The only thing it has going for is, it is fairly silent!

it stopped working after about 5 days and made crazy sound in my living room, went back to inner filter. maybe good for short term projects, or a filter you use while waiting for another one.

good price does the job on my small tank and comes with all the equipment you need

Good quality. and works well.

Terrible the pump needs to be hight than the tanks it's not ideal. Waste of money
