AltSkin is a skin tight suit that covers the entire body. It originated from the Japanese term "zentai". AltSkin is made using lycra and spandex blends. It has a zippered back and is super stretchy to fit most builds. AltSkin comes in multiple sizes and colors including kids sizes. The skin tight feeling of AltSkin gives you an instant second identity that brings excitement. Each suit will instantly transform you into a new person. AltSkin is lightweight and breathable. You can easily unzipper just the head without having to remove the entire suit.

Most photographed costume on Halloween
In a year when my 8th grade son might have "outgrown" Halloween, he managed to put together the coolest costume after we stumbled on the Morphsuit website. He became the most photographed costume as we walked through our town's main street and went trick or treating with his brother's friends. Yes, he wore the morphsuit, and was comfortable with it fully on, all night. He wore a thin athletic shirt underneath it for warmth and to be able to unzip and roll it down to the waist later in the night, but was comfortable with his face and hands covered most of the night.Fit is key to a morphsuit -- consult the company website for a grid that helps you select size. My son is average build, about 5'5"-5'6" and was comfortable in the XS. I am 5'4" and 120 lb and could fit the same size. The height of the suit was comfortable enough that he did not have the groin issues many wearers do (read elsewhere). Another reviewer said the length of theirs was short so they cut off the feet, but we sized large enough to not have that issue. My son had no odd fitting issues with fingers too tight or anything like that, nor did the suit "bag." It really did fit him like second skin.Fabric: the fabric is a thin, slippery nylon knit. It is light enough that my son wore a thin athletic shirt under it to not be cold (Halloween in NE), but it is NOT see through. The fabric is high quality -- after a night of rowdy wear, there are no tears or snags. It is VERY slippery. Adults who need to be functional have commented that it's slippery enough that you can't do anything with your hands (careful grip on your cell phone!), but my son wore black knit raver gloves* over his hands so it wasn't an issue. (Want some fun? Watch someone try to get up off a wood/marble floor wearing one of these suits.) If I had any design suggestion, I'd add a hidden slit at the wrist so you had the option to take your hands out. My son dealt with it by rolling the suit down to his waist so he could have his arms out; he wasn't irritated by having his hands trapped and wasn't tempted to cut or modify to have his hands out.Want to accessorize? Cheat and copy my son. He wore a black top hat (inexpensive felt party/costume hat bought through amazon), black sneakers and "blacked-out raver gloves*" (these are black knit gloves with LED lights in the tips). He wanted to add a black bowtie and his cousin shot him with silly string. I called him "pixelated man;" he called himself "I am the party."I really can't recommend morphsuits enough as a costume option, especially for tween-teens.*Not sure if this link will work, but if you are curious about those black raver gloves, try this:

Looked great and good fit for us - lots of compliments
Bought two skeleton body suits, in a kid's size M ("SecondSkin Men's Full Body Spandex/Lycra Suit, Skeleton, Kids M") and an adult large ("SecondSkin Men's Full Body Spandex/Lycra Suit, Skeleton, Large"). Over-all very satisfied with both products.- It is very difficult to see in the dark with these one. They worked fine at a brightly lit indoor party, but we will not use the hoods for Halloween evening as we'd end up walking into curbs. We tucked the hood inside the front and made up our faces into skulls. Looked better that way.- Feet and hands are attached. The fit was no problem for us (more on that later). It looks great, in fact. But if you want to see the metatarsals, you have to either find sandals, or wear socks underneath and walk around without shoes.- Color and glow-in-the-dark. The yellow-green glow of the skeleton looks great, especially after "charging" all day in the sunlight.- Child's Medium Fit. The kid's medium fits my small framed ten year old daughter who is shorter than average in her class with a long-legged, lanky frame. It fit slightly tight, but worked. Only challenge was zipping the hood and positioning the eyes over her eyes. We managed, but the shoulders were pulled slightly tight and looked hunched. We braided her long hair and tucked it inside the hood, which worked well.- Adult Large Fit. The adult large fit me well. I am a 5 foot 7 inches with a broad frame and a little thicker in the middle than I'd like. I also had a challenge pulling the hood over my head, positioning the eyes for best possible vision (which is still poor) and then zipping up the back. It was not flattering on my thicker frame, so I added a raggedy leather vest on one occasion and a long black cloak on another occasion.- Dressing It Up. We both wore the hoods and on another occasion chose to make up our faces into skulls since I am fairly skilled with costume make up. I was much more comfortable with the make up. I added a cloak or loose vest to mine to reduce the pear-like shape of my gut ("Does this spandex make me look fat?" No but it sure does accent my fat belly!). Meanwhile, my skinny daughter turned hers into a mummy, with a bunch of expired bandages wrapped over the top, but leaving some skeleton peaking through for the glowing bones effect. Much more flattering effect.

Nice fit; takes two to dress
What I mostt liked was that this is available in a size that comfortably fits someone 6'5" / 196cm tall, which is rare for costumes. I wish there were a version with mouth and eyeholes (would be glad to pay more) as it is only feasible to keep the head portion on for short durations given how little visibility you have with the mask on as well as constrained breathing and no ability to eat/drink. I spent most time in the outfit without the head portion zipped. The zipper is on the back, which is good for astherics but means one needs help to zip up & down the upper back and shoulders. The material is a bit heavier than a similar costume I bought from another maker. I wire this at an outdoors party in the summer and was too hot but endured. The material weight is better for a cool evening.
