Dishes are clean and green
Throughout my 20s I didn't have a dishwashwer, but I renovated our kitchen and decided to spoil us a little and get one. The search was on for a phosphate-free eco-detergent, and luckily this was the second one I tried. The first one, a competing product, worked miserably, and the dishwashwer ran forever trying to get everything clean. Even then, the dishes were a little grungy. I looked up the detergent we were using and found unfavorable reviews across the board. I found ecover here and bought a 4-pack due to the great reviews, and lo and behold, dishes were way cleaner and done more quickly faster. I combined them with the ecover rinsing agent, and dish life was good.Alas, in searching for a "green" product, I can't justify buying these any more because each little tab is wrapped in plastic. That's a bummer for me, I'm not a fan of the waste it produces. Yeah, it's not a lot, given that I run the dishwasher every three days or so, but I figured I could do better. Hopefully Ecover can figue out a way around this. If the plastic packaging doesn't bother you, this is a great detergent. I'm going to try the powder version. Hopefully it works as well.

Individually wrapped
I bought a single box of these locally. I'd been using Trader Joe's for a couple of years and discovered it wasn't as "clean" as I thought, so I went to Whole Foods armed with my EGW app. This one came up pretty good out of their choices. We're run a few loads through and dishes seem to come clean so that's a huge win.My biggest disappointment is they are individually wrapped in plastic. I have to fight with getting it out of the wrapper, put it in the soap holder in the dishwasher then wash my hands. I specifically didn't want powder as that tends to spill and I feel like I'm still cleaning up. I don't know what the solution would be, not wrapping them means they'll bang around and powder will fall out of the box. Maybe you should work on a dissolvable wrapper. Or a sleeve where one can pop the tablet right into the dishwasher.

Clean Dishes, No residue!
I love this product! I have used other eco-friendly products and they left a residue in the bottom of my dishwasher. This left nothing, but clean dishes and a clean dishwasher. I have also used a sample of electrasol powerball tabs that came with my new dishwasher. They had a strong scent and did not clean any better than Ecover tabs. Great value and excellent product!

Gets Dishes Pretty Clean, But Not Sparkling
I just finished my first full box of Ecover dishwasher tablets. I switched over from Cascade 2 in 1 tabs because I was concerned about the environmental impact of the chemicals in Cascade. Overall, I was pleased with the cleaning capacity of the Ecover. It got dishes pretty clean, even in my old, not very good dishwasher.I did notice after using the Ecover for a few loads that my glasses seemed to be a little bit spottier than they were using the Cascade. After reviewing the labels of both products, it seems that the Cascade contains an agent to make the glasses not spot. Now i'm just trying to get to the dishes while they're hot so I can dry off the glasswear to avoid spotting--it's not worth polluting just to have shiny glasses!

good but prefer loose powder
I really like ecover powder dish soap but it's hard to find and amazon is often out of it too (or it's super expensive) so I bought this at the store. The tablet doesn't fit in my dishwasher soap dispenser and the instructions say to then put it in the silverware basket. When I tried that, the soap tablet was almost completely intact after running the dishwasher. So now I squash the tablet into the soap dispenser and even though it doesn't close, it works better. It is less messy to use this than the powder though because the flakes of powder were always on the counter.

Buy this.
I have tried all kinds of earth friendly and not so friendly dishwashing products. This one is by far the best. These tiny tablets pack a huge punch even on stuck on food. You are doing yourself a big favor if you purchase this dishwashing product. I've been using my last shipment for 6 months now. It never fails. I have not experienced any residues or discolouring- just pure dishwasher perfection.
