This was a gift for my spouse. The concept is awesome and the quality of the journal/ diary is realy good with great cover and pages. But the entire concept failed with the designer missing on the practicality that for any cooking the space allocated for ingredients, measurements are too little. You cant squeeze ingredients for most Indian or Western cooking in about 4-5 lines. Should have been 1 page divided into 2 halves for the ingredients on the left and the measurement on the right respectively. Then a section at the end of the page for any special pre-cooking preparation, etc. This should be left side. the right side should be for the cooking process. Some sections could be 2 pages with left and right set up as explained and rest should be 3 pages with 1 page or 1.5 pages for ingredients and preparations and rest 1.5/ 2 pages for cooking instructions itself. I hope that the designers/ publishers see this and rectify the design so that it is really helpful to those who enjoy cooking and also experimenting and wish to note down their successes.
