Raven Eye Custom Bedding Pillar, 7/16" Diameter

I was excited to attempt to assemble my first hunting rifle. I intently read about the need to bed, specifically pillar bed, the rifle action in the rifle stock. I had purchased a nice custom wooden stock and some pillar spacers with 9/16" outside diameter. After examining and measuring the hole placement on the stock, it was only then that I realized that if I drilled holes to fit the pillar spacers the I had, I would not have any work left to attach the rifle action to. I tried and found 1/2" outside diameter spacers, still a large hole, but I realized that the spacers would be too large for the 1/2" holes in the stock. Finally, I found these 7/16" diameter spacers at Amazon. I was familiar with the manufacturer's product line. I then measured, trimmed, and roughed up the spacer exteriors so that the epoxy would have ample surface area to make a good, tight bond. It all went together well, the project ended in success. I realize that this isn't a spectacular product. However, they are well made and suited my purpose to a "T".
