Too big
I have a small dog and this was far too big. I ordered a different style. If your dog has a long snout this will probably be a good fit!

Better then any E-collar
I bought this muzzle for my dog who has allergies to replace the Elizabethian colar I used to use. He hated the E collar, and so did my knees. I put the muzzle on him when I can't keep a watchful eye on him like when I shower or when I leave him with my mother, who never keeps a good eye on him. I love this muzzle and he doesn't mind it either, the yellow material is made of a plastic canvas that easily wipes clean. The inside and the black trim that is piped around the opening are both a soft material. The mesh part had me nervous, i was expecting it to be plastic and scratchy and was a little worried it might irritate his nose but it's actually a soft rubber type mesh and my dogs nose isn't long enough to touch it anyway. When I leave him with my mother I tell her to make sure to remove it several times so he can eat and drink, but If your dog is crafty (like mine) my mother found out he can still drink with this muzzle on, he just sicks his face in the water bowl and allows the water to come through the mesh and drinks normal - so if you're somewhere where taking the muzzle off isn't a good option in theory your dog could at least still have some water. I noticed there's no sizing information, so for those of you who aren't sure what to buy I went to the progaurd website before purchasing mine to check, here is there chart with recommended sizesXSmall Black Muzzle:Circumference of the XSmall is 6-1/2"For Yorkies, Chihuaua & other Min Toy Breeds with similar size snouts.Small Blue Muzzle:Circumference of the Small is 7-1/2"For Minature Poodle, Bichon Frise, Minature Schnauzer, Shelties, Yorkies, Cavalier Spaniels & other Miniature Breeds with similar size snouts.Medium Orange Muzzle:Circumference of the Medium is 9-1/2"For Small Beagles, Fox Terrier, Keeshound, Whippets, Westirs, Jack Russels, Standard Dachshunds, Standard Poodles, Lhasa Apso and dogs with similar size snouts.Large Green Muzzle:Circumference of the Large is 11"For Border Collie, Large Beagles, Springers, Cocker Spaniel, Fox Terrier and dogs with similar size snouts.X-Large Yellow Muzzle:Circumference of the X-large is 12-1/2"For German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Labs, Golden Retrievers, Huskys, Doberman, Wolfhound, Setters and dogs with similar size snouts.Giant (Jumbo) Red Muzzle:Circumference of the Giant (Jumbo) is 16"For St. Bernard, Great Dane, Newfoundland, Bull Mastiffs, Great Pyreness and dogs with similar size snouts.

Keeps her from eating 💩
We bought this about 5 months ago now because our rescue would not stop chowing down on her own her own product. We weren't into that and since she enjoys a fresh snack and doesn't like to listen to us when she's outside, we felt this was the best course of action. It seems comfortable enough. I feel like it sits very close to her eyes but a smaller size would not fit her snout. She does not like getting it out on, but will allow it. She does paw at it outside for a minute or so before giving up once outside. She's gotten it off maybe once or twice but that's just when the strap has come loose. My biggest issue is it doesn't clean well. Having a poop eater, sometimes she still tries to eat crap with the muzzle on. So we've got to clean the mask. So the rubber has worn off almost completely. The yellow of the muzzle is also very dingy from normal wear and tear. I'm looking into another one that will hold up better for the needs we have.

Modification Needed
I had to buy this after paying nearly 2 grand for one of my dogs to have a foreign body removed from his intestine! The vet recommended a muzzle to prevent future happenings. For the price, this muzzle was decent---HOWEVER my dogs were able to get it off within 5 seconds of having it on. I had to make modifications to it to make it unescapable. I had to get a nylon leash and cut it to be the size between the bottom of the muzzle to a collar I had purchased, then I sewed the leash pieces to the collar. (When I put it on, I need only to snap the collar in place-but this is in addition to their normal collar) I did the same on the top of the muzzle, so there is something durable to keep the muzzle from being removed over or under their snout. I can honestly say that it works well now, but I'm working every day with them on not fighting it. Just because they can't get it off doesn't mean they don't try, so I put a kernel of dog food into the muzzle (from the top pushing it to where their nose is) so they get rewards a few times a minute for leaving it alone and not trying to pull it off. Time will tell if this method will work. Worst case scenario--if this idea doesn't work, at least I didn't spend a lot on it. Purchase this product if you don't want to pay higher prices for other muzzles and if you are looking for a little craft project and some DIY dog training sessions.

soft dog muzzle - enclosed
this is the third muzzle (in as many years) that i've ordered for my 8 year old labrador - who has atypical Addison's Disease and is prescribed steroids for life. side affect of steroids is constant hunger, (and thirst) - even more than the average labrador! his previous muzzles still permitted him to eat away at mounds of earth and our walks were becoming unbearable. but this muzzle is THE ANSWER TO MY PRAYERS! He can't get at anything and hasn't even struggled to get the muzzle off (probably because he's so used to wearing a muzzle now). it's a comfortable fit and the soft fabric is so much better than the plastic and leather (open) muzzles i've got in my collection!! thank you!!

Good fit 25kg collie cross
This was needed to prevent a poop eating habbit unfortunately! It is the best mesh muzzle over come across for this application. It would not be suitable to leave on for extended periods in hot weather as not much room to pant.Stays on quite well if tightened sufficiently.HINT: it is quite short in the muzzle length IMO, so if you have a long nosed breed like a greyhound, they may be able to get it off.

Waste of money
Purchased this for my scavenger Labrador after she had a nasty bout of pancreatitis which has left her with IBD. This now lifelong condition means she has to follow a strict diet and if she eats anything other than that, she becomes ill.So not wanting to restrict her exercising off lead, but needing to make sure she didn’t scavenge I thought this would be a great compromise. It wasn’t! She pulled it off in seconds, and it was not possible to secure it tighter. The design is flawed and only suitable for a very inactive and docile dog...!

Stops my dog picking up and eating
My dog has a horrid habit of eating what other dogs have 'left'. This is the best muzzle tried, it dulls his sense of smell and has stopped him pushing his nose in to horrid things as he did with his basket muzzle. It cleans well, its well made and best of all.. he is comfortable in it and now appears to enjoy his walks rather than searching out to what he can eat.I would prefer a brown colour though:-)

Great for scavenging dogs on walks.
Bought this for my Dobermann to stop her picking up rubbish on our walks. It is comfortable fit, does not ride up in her eyes and allows free panting and drinking. Would recommend as it us soft and maluable, easy to use and take off during walks and folds to nothing in the pocket.
