BRIGHT OF SWEDEN-1296085 Atom Model - Student

Great set for exposing a young student to the basics of atomic structure. We added red and blue circles (with a dry-erase marker) to electron orbits to show how many electrons each ring could hold and to make it easy to see how many electrons are missing from the outer electron orbit. Glad that there were two models (black and white) to use for comparison, but I almost wish I had ordered a second set so that it would be a little easier (visually) to explain the electron sharing of H2O.Used this for homeschooled granddaughters in conjunction with Theodore Gray's excellent ELEMENTS book. The 5-year-old learned the first 5 elements, and the 8-year-old learned the first 8 elements. Hope to get much more use out of this set over the years.

WAAAYYYYYYY too much money for what one receives, and no handbook/workbook is included.

Great hands on way to have my students learn the parts of an atom.

my kids love it and good for learning atom structure. however, center circle which is supposed for nucleus can accomodate at most 15 particles. Therefore you cannot make bigger atom than carbon, nitrogen.
