Ya'll my cat loves this thing! Lately he's been chasing it as I drag the feathers across the floor. Love that it has a telescoping handle so I can store this in a drawer... if I leave it out, my cat will drag it all over and I won't know where to find it for playtime! The only downside is that he manages to pull most of the feathers out before too long, so we're on our second one! Next time I will be buying one that comes with multiple easily replaceable feather ends, as you can't do that with this one. However I will keep this and just tie some short fabric ribbon on to the ends once the feathers are gone. UPDATE: he loved the ribbons that I tied on to the end after he had pulled all the feathers out, but of course those ribbons were short lived as well. We are now making our way through our third wand, because I just grabbed this same one from walmart because I was there buying cat food. I've ordered a different wand that has replaceable feathers though, because even though this is a great price I can't keep buying them when my cat goes through the feathers so fast! I really wish I could buy a replacement feather end for this though... my cat has started dragging this onto my bed in the early AM and meowing at me to play with him. This is the only toy he does it with, so I think it's safe to say this is his favorite!

Best value, works well, and I like it

I was surprised at how thick the wand part was, but it helps with durability. However, it did feel like it was extra heavy due to it (especially compared to other wands), which I wasn't a huge fan of. The feathers did "fly" and twirl, which definitely enthralled my kitty. However, if you start losing one or parts of one or two, it stops twirling and becomes a normal feather wand (no issues with that since kitty also likes those!). I wish there was a way to replace the feathers though. It was pretty sturdy, but has no give, so it can be pulled tight if your cat has its chompers on it. Overall the wand didn't last too long since the feathers fell out or got ripped out quicker than expected. Unfortunate since every other part of it seems like it could last a long time!

Oh my Lord. This toy!!My ten dollar spin ball, she watches and takes a nap.This thing.First, the rod is nice and solid.Most toys like this are thin and ‘bendy”. She’s broken three of those.There isn’t elastic, so she can really pull on it.She snapped the elastic on one of those.I just hope I can find more of the feathery ends.This fake bird is soon to die.She carries that thing around, rod and all.I love that the tassel unscrews.We can’t get close enough to do that, but it would be nice.

my cat just ignore it

This is not the first time I've bought this feather wand, I had the same exact one that I bought last year from Walmart, and even after my cat ripped all of the feathers out of it, it was STILL her favorite toy. She has tons of other toys, but nothing gets her as excited about playing as thos wand does. She leaps and flips, and quite literally bounces off the wall chasing this toy. I can't even say "toy" without her getting excited, and I have to keep it in a drawer when it's not playtime or she runs through the house with it dragging under her on the floor lol We just got the new one today and now she's even more excited to have one with feathers on it again, so much so that she got overheated and was panting like a dog xD (always let your kitty calm down and cool off when they start doing that so they don't get sick). So in conclusion, this is a great toy to get your kitty active and exercising. Will definitely be buying this again in the future after she pulls the feathers out of this one!

I have 1 really outgoing kitten, and the other somewhat shy. I originally bought this toy because I was trying to get $25 in pet items to get free shipping. I got my free shipping, and the kittens got a new toy. It was a win win situation for $4.What I didn’t expect was for the shy kitten to instantly take to this toy. He loved it so much, he went and destroyed it while I was out. Yes, it’s flimsy (it’s $4 what do you expect?). Clearly I didn’t pick a good hiding spot for it. Ever since, he’s been more interested in interacting with me and playing with his brother.I’d recommend this for anyone looking for a cheap “temporary” toy or a toy with extremely light use.

This one tire out for cat, if your cat likes feathers and you want something a little more formal to hide from your cat I fully recommend this. I recommend for smaller cats due to its smaller size and a bigger cat will probably tear this apart, the feathers aren’t the most durable, but if the cat is smaller and they’re not much when it comes to pulling out the feathers, I think this is a great toy!

I can run this for about an hour before the kittens tire of it. Very clever.17 year old cat is vaguely disgusted by the gullibility of the kittens and won't even look at it.

Interaction between a new kitten and you is very important for the bonding process. He loves it and so do I. I can watch tv and not ignore his want to playOne thing...it was packaged in a soft envelope and when i cut a titch across the top with scissors I nipped a piece of the feather off. My mistake but be careful when unpacking : )
