Ratchet Modular Crimp Tool (Cutting & Stripping Tool) for 8P8C/RJ-45, 6P6C/RJ-12, 6P4C/RJ-11, 4P4C, and 4P2C

So first of all, this isn't a top of the line crimper, but then again, you're not paying top of the line prices either. I specifically bought this to crimp RJ10 (4P4C), but have used it for RJ45 as well. So far, perfect crimps every time. I don't really use the wire strippers, because like most modular crimpers, these aren't very good. Sure you *can* use them, but not worth the frustration.The ratchet mechanism is a bit more for bling then function and due to it's design makes it harder to cut longer cables since you have to thread one end of the cable through the handle- although you can loop it I guess. I'd remove it if I could, but I don't see an easy way to do that. That said, if you want a ratcheting crimper, this does the job.Honestly, if you're looking for a non-commercial quality RJ10, RJ11, RJ45 crimper for home use this is hard to beat for the price. I'm giving it 5 stars since the price is right, but there are better/higher quality crimpers out there for techs in the field who need to use it all the time.

I wired every room in my house with two sets of Cat6 cable and used this tool to put RJ45 connectors throughout the house ... works perfectly.
