Better than SUNSCREEN
I am born and raised in Florida, and therefore I have spent my life in the sun. I fish frequently on my 22' Skeeter Bay Boat. Fishing behind mangroves for Snook and Redfish keeps my hands in the sun throughout the entire trip. After my last outing, I was surprised to have huge red burn areas on the backs of both my hands. THIS SCARED ME. My wife suggested using sunscreen, but that is not going to work. Sunscreen and live bait do not mix, the scent would be on the bait and the fish are simply not going to bite. Additionally, I dip my hands in the water often to release a fish or just simply to rinse my hands and sunscreen would be gone pretty quickly and again now leaving a scent in the water as well. I found these gloves and thought I would give them a try. THEY ARE THE PERFECT SOLUTION. VERY VERY flexible. They fit perfectly and I love the Velcro strap that adjusts to whatever tightness you desire. This keeps them solidly in place. I use light to medium weight tackle and these gloves allow me to handle hooks with ease, where thicker gloves are cumbersome. Easy to reel, and put your hand right down in the water to land your fish. They dry super quick. The palms have a sort of leather material to add strength. It also protects you from fins. I should have had these years ago, but all I can say now is I feel comfortable being out in the sun. And they look cool!

Perfect for kayaking
These worked out very well. I just bought a second pair so that when these get wet I can put dry ones on. Great price. To be determined how well they hold up. But comfortable and lightweight.

Solid Choice for Kayaking
OK - so they are really comfy and an excellent choice for kayaking. The fingerless glove gives you full functionality while offering good protection and grip while in use. Plus, the modest price point all figured into the purchase. BUT - I wish they came in a variety of color. I really like high visibility when I'm out on the water, so shocking orange or red would be great! Measuring my hand they way they showed (around the knuckles), I came out a 8 1/4" so I went with Medium; which worked out great. They feel durable - but if they don't go the distance; I am good about updating my reviews.

Great for tennis.
Love it for tennis. My palms sweat a lot causing me to lose grip. These gloves, I use just one for my tennis hand, eliminating the sweaty grip issue. I love them. Easy to hand wash or throw into the washing machine. They air dry over night. I wash them after I get home and they show little sign of wear. This is my second pair. I lost the first pair after a year and ordered another pair right away. I imagine it works as well for the other uses listed. No more grip issue. The gloves do not create a feel issue as my fingers are not covered completely.

Prevent aging from the sun by covering your hands with these super comfortable gloves
I live in Nevada, so sun protection is a must. I have tried two other types of fingerless gloves for sun protection. These are the best by far! I just took an hour and a half walk in 106 degree heat. These soaked up sweat and were very comfortable. I am 5 foot 7 and have long fingers. The small fit great! The fingers are not too tight or anything. This is great because there is some room for airflow which helps cool your hands down. I am so glad I found these. I am in my early 30s and just randomly became obsessed with keeping sun off me in my mid 20s. I was wearing sunscreen on my hands, but it would just sweat off. So, these gloves are perfect for keeping the sun off my hands to prevent age spots (also called liver spots or sun spots). It would be awesome if they came in different colors.

Trekking? Yes. SPF, Slightly Padded, Breathable hand protection
Not used fishing, but can say these are great with trekking poles. Performed very well over miles of hiking in Calif Summer heat (70-90 degree) over varied terrain; 50% strenuous and sketchy mix of granite boulders, hummas, mud, and roots put substantial pressure on the poles and hands. FishingTree fingerless gloves are definately with the gear I want in my hiking kit. These gloves gave me confidence in grip, feel, UV protection and also wipe the sweat off my forehead with the fast drying stretchy backs, +open fingers to do map and compass checks quickly. The "after" pictures attached are from our three day backpacking trip with 30-miles of sweaty use with trekking poles carrying 29lb packs. Remove them wet by letting them peel off inside-out. Some wear in two leather contact points (I'd estimate 20% used, and 80% more life until it wears a hole through). Sorry, no fishing test in this report. But I'd be happy to buy these comfortable gloves again.

Great kayaking, biking, golf, summer sport gloves!
These are exactly what they claim to be! They are very comfortable, lightweight for summer activities and of all natural materials - I got no rashes anywhere, or blisters from not wearing gloves kayaking hard for 2 hours in a deep lake on a windy day. My boyfriend now wants a pair in his size...For the review stating they were worn out from walking a dog, these are not gloves for walking the dog, household or yard chores. They are not supposed to have friction from rough fabrics on the top of them, they have the friction protective material on the palm for biking, kayaking, golf...any summer sport. They are excellent for this! A great value!

Gloves Not Great But OK
I have a problem doing anything with gloves on so please keep that in mind when reading this review. I measured my hand per the instructions and was in between sizes. The instructions said in that case to go to the smaller size which I did. The gloves fit fairly well but were difficult to get off due to being a bit tight. My biggest complaint is the velcro wrist strap. I wasn't able to get the entire strap velcroed down which left about 1" of the strap sticking out and was just another place for the fly line to get hung up. Other than the fit, the gloves worked fairly well and did keep the sun off my hands. I have only used them once but will continue to try using them as they do keep the backs of my hands from burning.
