Egg Skelter Black for Medium to Large Eggs

Looks great on the counter and good design. Sometimes the eggs don't all roll down like they are supposed too. They get hung up on one of the underwires and all have to be rolled past it. Then twice while doing this an egg turned sideways and slipped through breaking another egg on the way to a counter top splat. Now we know what to watch out for.

I probably should have gotten the one for smaller eggs, even though our chickens lay some pretty big eggs, they eggs roll and get stuck and don't flow like they should on this thing. It would be great if it worked properly, but it looks nice on the counter.

I got it thinking it would be a great way to store eggs, but its hard to move the eggs on it, so they bump into each other and they break, I think it's just better a basket or a platter to store them on!

This is a fabulous solution to the problem (that those of us who raise our own eggs have) of figuring out which eggs are the freshest and which should be used first. As long as the eggs are lined up correctly on the skelter, they roll nicely as you remove the ones you need. It holds 2 dozen eggs and looks great on the counter too! (news flash - eggs do not need to be refrigerated as long as their shells are intact) And it's a conversation starter. . .It took about a month to arrive but I think it was coming from England?

This skelter cam in a box that was packaged well and the eggs fit nicely on it. However, the eggs do not roll down as the oldest ones are removed requiring you to manually move the remainder of the eggs down the skelter towards the end. So sad since I was very excited about using this to rotate my fresh eggs.

Really like the design concept but the item's construction not real solid high quality material...especially for the price....should be priced around $25.

This thing is great. Well made. If they were more affordable I would buy them for all my friends and family with chickens

I like it but.......I have medium eggs and most go thru the wires, I am going to get bigger chickens so that wont be a problem, I have buff Orpingtons and barred rocks and the eggs fall thru
