Synopsis A disturbing tale about the use and abuse of power. The original cast of The Wind in the Willows - blustering Toad, the supercilious Water Rat, the naive and well-meaning Mole and the grumpy old Badger - are joined by a new set of characters, including the smarmy Fat Cat, the plucky agitatrix Little Bird and the villain of the piece, Red Fox. Set in the context of an international business symposium, the animals fall out among themselves, caught unawares by Red Fox's unashamed bid for global hegemony. Toad is imprisoned but his friends escape and take on the forces of evil against overwhelming odds. Is there a message here? You bet there is. Eldon is not the first to realize the potential of using animals to make people look stupid - nor, for that matter, the first to recognize the power of humour to make a serious point. Despite the smile on its face, this is an angry book - The Wind in the Willows meets Animal Farm.
