Splicing Tape, Audio, for Cassettes and Digital Audio Tapes (DAT) 82 FT Roll

This works perfect for repairing torn Compact Cassette (i.e. regular audio cassette) tape, like where the edge of the leader catches the AutoStop mechanism and sheers off and rolls up into the cassette. I like to crack open the bottom of the cassette halfway and pull or suck out the tape, so preserving the cassette shell. Then it is a matter of performing cassette surgery.The splicing tape is exactly the same width as standard cassette tape. If you are off by a mil, a mil of tape will stick out the other side. It is not super-ultra-mega-sticky and doesn't need to be. The adhesive bonds well enough to the tape to form vacuum pockets (like a thousand tiny suction cups). I could not pull it apart lengthwise without stretching out and destroying the tape (the bond is stronger than the tape). It could be *peeled* off with enough effort, but rather if you eff it up, just cut it out and try again.The splicing tape is also flexible enough not to interfere with the transport of the audio tape. Best of all, it is cheap, and if you are repairing your cassettes, then they are clearly more valuable to you than what you could get for them on Discogs.If you need to splice together some cassette tape, I recommend this spicing tape.

This is my first time splicing tape so it is somewhat misaligned, but from my experience the tape works well. It is fairly flexible and winds nicely.

Use it to splice the cassette tape, Didn't hold. pull loose when I play the tape.

Product worked well! I have hundreds of audio cassettes that I am copying to digital formats, and several of them have broken leader tapes. Was able to repair them and get them transferred with the help of this product.
