I do all the work on my JK myself and this was definitely the longest install I’ve done (this includes a radiator replacement).I have a 2013 JKU.Cons to self install:1) Self tapping screws did not work for me, I used a small drill bit first and then went back to the screws. It helps to have someone with you to help hold the pods in place as getting the pods mounted takes a long time.2) I currently have a stock radio in so I had to splice into the speaker wires on the passenger side. My wires were not exactly the same color as the directions so it took a little looking into to see which was which. Also, there’s not a whole lot of space to work with those wires so getting a good connection was a little difficult and is probably what took me the longest.Pros:1) The directions are very self explanatory. They come in a paper copy in the box, I went to the website just to have the color version because for me it’s a little easier to read.2) The pods now are the loudest speakers in my Jeep by far. I frequently have the top off and used to turn my radio all the way up just to barely hear it. I don’t have that problem anymore.This is probably my favorite upgrade I’ve done to my Jk now. Once you get the pods in you’ll realize how bas your stock speakers are. I had previously replaced the overhead speakers with Kickers as well, now I definitely feel the need to replace all of them because of how quiet the front ones are. Overall worth the money and you only have to install it once so worth the effort as well.

Installed these JKU Pods on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler JK and have to say these added full depth to my factory setup, amazed to hear the quality and difference it made. Complete plug-in-play with JKU's factory alpine stock radio, instructions were both intuitive and thorough. The kit comes with everything you need to do the install. Drilling the holes in the roll cage, for the pods was a bit of a challenge, just an awkward angle, and position to install. Recommend drilling a pilot hole first, then use the bolts that come with the unit. Having a second pair of hands would have made a world of difference with mounting the pods, holding the pods in place as drill the bolts in place. With patience, you can do the install by yourself. Being a novice with stereo installs, had a bit of an amp wiring issue. Called Select Increments, and the tech representative was beyond "Great Customer Service," more like a rock star with helping in troubleshooting. The issue was a user error on my part, not the product. Had some wires hooked up in the wrong place on the amplifer. Anyway, you just don't get that kind of customer service these days. Huge shout out to Stewart for helping me along with the install! I am so impressed with the quality of these JKU Pods, that my next purchase will be the Select Increments JKU Neo-Pod Subwoofer. If you are looking to add to your already factory stock Alpine system on your Jeep, and don't want to spend thousands of dollars going to your local car audio store, this is the item for you.
