Would have given 5 stars if only...(let me explain)
The product worked great for a month, then 1 went offline while i was halfway around the world. Couldnt get back online. I called Amazon (super curteous) rep, who helped me send email to seller who was quick to get me a replacement. To be very honest the seller did tell me they have a different model and if i was ok with it, and i did say yes. A new single unit was mailed and replaced, and it works fine. My only gripe is that now 2 very different switches on a 2 gang plate. Personally i wish seller would have replaced both switches, but LET ME BE CLEAR that i dont blame the seller. I just dont like the eyesore, hence the 4 stars. But am open to 5 star if i get a matching switch.

About these switches
1st. Every home built in. the U.S. since the 1960's has a neutral wire, it is the White wires that are twisted together with a wire nut and pushed back in the box. regular switches only have a "Live", "Load" and "Ground" wire attached to them. These wires will be "Black" or "Red" for "Live/Load" and "Green/Bare Copper" for ground.2nd. These switches come in Single, 2 Gang (2 switches) and 3 Gang (3 switches). The only difference is the cover plates and the price. Buy the multi packs of Single Switches (they are the cheapest per switch) and get 2-Gang or 3-Gang plates for your local Home Improvement Store, they fit. Also the different kind of switches have a different look (Singles have a light at the bottom that comes on when the switch is on, the 2-Gang have a light at the bottom that changes color and the 3-Gang have a light at the top that is on when the switch is off) By getting the multi packs of singles you get all the same switches so they all look the same.3rd. There are 2 modes to connect the switches to the "Smart Life App", EZ mode and AP mode. Connect all of your switches using the same mode, EZ Mode is the best.4th. You are limited to 10 characters when naming your device. I suggest a little pre planning, keep it simple (Kitchen 1, Kitchen 2, Entry Hall, Bathroom 1) I have 31 switches in my home including one on my Garbage Disposal. I drew a layout of my home, each switch and what they went to, then I named each switch so when I installed them I new what they were going to be. With the layout, I have a reference to refer to if I forget what to call a switch.5th. These are some of the easiest switches I have ever worked with, Easy to hook up, easy to connect to the app and easy to link to Alexa. I have recommended them to friends and show them how to install them and they have been able to setup their entire homes.I hope this answers some of your questions before you purchase.

It works well with Amazon Alexa and it's inexpensive
I had a Wink switch for two lights in my kitchen that worked with my Amazon Alexa, but Wink started charging a monthly fee that within a year would have cost more than the switch did originally - I of course cancelled their service. Then my son told me he had bought an inexpensive switch from Aleath that did the same thing, so I bought their double switch. It was easy to install (another son is an electrician) and fairly easy to connect to Alexa. The double switch is actually two independent switches that could work as a double, but I chose to use one in the kitchen to control a light over the table and then use the other in my bedroom to control a ceiling fan over the bed. Both work perfectly with my Alexa. There are two reasons I gave this switch a 4 instead of a 5. It is plastic where you screw it into the box; it didn't break, but most switches use metal for that part of the switch. The other problem is the blue light that is lit when the switch is turned on. No problem in the kitchen, but it kept my wife awake in the bedroom when the fan was on. To hide the light I had to place a small piece of electrical tape over the light, which worked.

It works as advertised!! Easy to install.
I replaced a 37 year old double gang switch with this, and everything went as planned. It would not connect at first. I have a ATT Uverse gateway which is both 2.4 and 5 ghz. The instructions told me that if both SIDs were named the same, it would not work. It will only work with 2.4. Their solution was to rename both. I decided for minimal disruption, I just renamed the 5ghz one. It worked like a charm and I didn't hear any kids screaming about the internet being out! The new switches were a little taller than the old ones, so I had to shave a little sheetrock with a screwdriver to allow them to go back far enough for the screws to reach. If you don't want to do that, you may need to get some longer screws. The face plate pulled them back up flush, so all is well. Once installed, I installed the Home Life app on my phone and connected it to Alexa. This was a great value for a high quality smart switch.

Easy to integrate with Alexa
Staight forward installation if your familiar with electrical wiring. I pulled the old switch out prior to ordering to confirm I had a Hot (black), Neutral (white), Ground (bare) wires and to make sure there was enough room in the box. Was simple to integrate with alexa to turn my porch light on at sunset and off at sunrise.

annoying blue light
The product works well, is easy to install and links up with alexa nicely. But they changed the design on this from a push button to a touch spot, not that huge of a deal but harder to find in the dark when guests dont know what room to ask to turn on.But the worst part is it went from a very small blue light when on, to a very large blue light when on.I sleep with my fan on and its hard to sleep with it on. Wish they could make a way to turn the light off like they did with the wifi signal light. With my push button I could cover the light up with a few layers of white paper and scotch tape and couldnt tell but since this is touch activated putting tape over it you cant turn it on by touch anymore.Id give 5 stars if they could make this simple switch to the blue light staying on while on

No tech support- why not compatible with 5G???
There is no tech support for this unit and I had a hard time setting it up. Our router provides both 2.4G and 5G so I could not download the device onto my phone until I finally figured out that I had to reconfigure our router to separate the 2G and 5G options rather than provide them together using the same password. But this took a while with no customer support option to call. They should make this compatible with both G options or at least provide a phone # to contact for help.
