I lightly wiped it down with a quaility oil and placed it in the sheath for a trip out. When I returned home, I unsheathed it and noticed a light brown stain on the blade. I scrubbed down with the same oil and a oiling cloth. I was able to get most of it off. The blade and handle are beautiful and are well made. I love the blue color.

My husband bought this and has loved using it! Easy to sharpen and the craftsmanship is awesome!

knife came as pictured fairly sharp but not sharp enough.not a problem though.while pretty solid with a sturdy blade , the sheath is not so good. Don't get me wrong, it's good but overall cheap standard compared to the knife. this knife deserves a better sheath. but you should be able to get years of service from the his beautiful knife, not so sure about the sheath.still definitely worth the purchase price with phenomenal shipping speed.

Knife haft (handle) shapes well to your hand. There's a nice hole made of fitted metal for putting it on a lanyard if you like. The blade is beautifully made. It's lines are nice and true. The knife came well oiled and was packaged well. It's reasonably sharp but I will probably sharpen it more to be of my liking. BUT, the sheath has much to be desired. It's made of some kind of fake leather composite. Although it can fit on any belt on your hip up to 2.5" in width the quality of the sheath is terrible. The snaps that keep the knife secured from falling off your belt are on a sliding piece of "leather" that does not stay put as it slides back and forth horizontally while on your hip. Not ideal if you need to insert or draw the knife while wearing it and the snaps to secure it to your waist are sliding around. There is also a useless piece of fake leather wrapped around the sheath that has two snaps which has no purpose at all as far as i can tell other than to make it look fancy. This sheath is so corny and cheap I will have to order something that is real and substantial to sheath this knife in.I will keep the knife itself. It is a work of art. I can't figure out why this manufacturer would make a beautiful knife and then ship it in a crap sheath.

I haven’t really used it for anything yet but it’s a beautiful work of art and you get what you see. Almost to nice of a knife to use on anything brutal

This is a solid, grip-friendly knife that also manages to be quite pretty. The folded steel construction appears genuine rather than superficially laser-etched as some are. Craftsmanship of the knife itself is 5-star. It arrived well-protected with oil and pretty sharp, and readily took a very fine edge with a couple of passes thru my sharpener.I down-rated it to 4 stars overall because of the sheath, which IMO is as important as the knife. A good sheath holds the knife firmly, releases it readily on demand, and accepts the knife re-sheathing while on the hip, one-handed, without a lot of clumsy poking and groping. While this sheath seems sturdy and well-made, mine came with one annoying flaw - the snap on the keeper strap was just too tight to fit around the handle without an unseemly struggle. It only cost me $4 to have a tailor move one side of the snap about 4mm, and now it's perfect. But that should have been taken care of at the factory, or picked up in QA, so 4 stars it is.That all said, this knife is solid, well-made, very comfortable to grip, and pretty in an understated, business-like way. Glad i found it.

If this is Damascus steel then I'm the pope. Blade has a serious warp in it. I have to disagree with most people on this one. Save your money.
