But they really are fantastic (I have 3 of them so far), and when/if the price starts going back down they are well worth the purchase.Original review:I've had quite a few flash drives over the years. I use them quite a bit, and have never had any issues other than slow speeds. Whether they're cheap no-names or respected well-known names, from 8GB to 512GB, USB 2 or 3, they're always SO SLOW - regardless of reviews touting benchmark tests of their supposed amazing speeds. I eventually gave up researching and just avoided the ones that looked like obvious garbage. The PNY ones used to be my favorites. They were slow but I liked them. Then I took a chance on these. And WOW what a difference. I've bought two so far and plan on another soon. I haven't run tests, but the write speed on these things is easily at least 5 times faster than any other flash drives I have. They're solidly built with a metal casing, yet they don't get ridiculously hot. At this point I don't expect to buy any other brands. Axe is doing it right, at least with this model. I haven't tried anything else they make yet.

I bought the 512GB version. This flash drive is very solid feeling. It's not a plastic Chinese knock-off. Solid, well performing. If they had a 1TB version, I would snap it up, fast. The cap that protects the USB interface matches the stick and looks great. Buy it, if you can afford it.

I love this thing it has held up and has plenty of storage. Not 128gb but it is more than within reason for the cost. If you need a thumb drive get this or the larger options.

Read speeds are amazing. But write speeds started out fast. Then drop bouncing up and down transferring a 6gb file.

If you want to run a Linux distribution from a USB stick, you need as much speed as you can get. Inexpensive sticks, even if they're technically "USB 3.1," are so slow that they're slower on both read and write than even mechanical platter hard drives.Which is why I bought this.

購入してすぐにベンチマークを取りました。まず、CDM7.0ではシーケンシャルとランダムリード性能については他のレビュアーさん達とほぼ同じ数値。　ですが、ライト性能についてはシーケンシャルは他の方達の2/3から1/2と残念な値で、ランダムにも不満です。続いて、H2testwではリード性能については前半は400MByte/sに近い数値が出ていましたが中盤～後半に掛けて段々落ちてきて、最終的には写真の数値です。　これは、まぁいいでしょう。　しかし、ライト性能は酷い！　前半80MByte/s前後で進んできて、中盤～後半に掛けては30MByte/sを切る時もありつつ、最終的に37.3MByte/sという数値でした。他の方のレビューにもありましたが、金属(アルミ)製ボディからABS樹脂製とコストダウンをして、さらに肝心のメモリ部分も低品質品へと改悪をされているのではないでしょうか？　今までの高評価レビュー+ベンチマーク写真を信用して購入したのに、それを裏切るようなこのメーカーの行為はやめて欲しいですね？　納得がいかないので返金の申請をしました。

I was attracted to the AXE Speedy 512GB USB 3.1 by the claimed write speeds of up to 300 MB/s. I can only get near to the top write speed for a couple of seconds before the write speed significantly drops to a very inconsistent 20 to 90 MB/s. I suspect (but I may be wrong) that the higher advertised speed is only being achieved by using a small amount of high-speed cache memory first, before data is flushed to much slower storage memory, which may explain why it quickly drops on every write test I have tried with larger files of 4GB+. I understand the speedy description and quoted write speed are misleading therefore I cannot recommend it.

使用可能だった時は値段の割に早かったです。業務データを入れて使用していたら使用開始4日目で「フォーマットする必要があります」→「ディスクは書き込み禁止になっています。」で使用不可に。使い方が悪かったのかと、もう一つ購入したが、やはり使用開始4日目に同じ症状になりました。業務データが入っているので、データ復元を恐れて返品もできません。同じデータが入ったELECOMとSP、sonyのUSBは問題ないので、このUSBがおかしいは確定です。

I purchased this product after seeing the claim that it has 'Read Speeds Up to 400 MB/s. Write Speeds Up to 200 MB/s'. I know it says 'Up to' so I shouldn't expect the speeds to be exactly those numbers when using it BUT I found speeds to be nowhere near the claimed speeds. The highest speed I got on a 2GB transfer was 50mbps write and 40mbps read, I mean seriously I don't have words for my disappointment AND I would politely demand a REFUND as the product has false claims and the product I received is nowhere near the transfer speeds mentioned in the product description.
