Greenworks 24V 22" Cordless Hedge Trimmer, Tool Only, Green/Black/Red

I recently got this hedge trimmer and wish I had done so sooner. It is light weight, and the supplied battery holds a good charge, so you can work with it for a long, long time. The handle rotates so you can adjust the grip, but I haven't found myself using that as the weight and handle design are comfortable as is.The blades are new and sharp, so they trim bushes and hedges quickly. Time will tell how the blades hold up. Can they be sharpened or replaced? I wonder...I had suggested we get a powered trimmer for years, but my wife insisted on doing things the hard way with manual tools. Consequently our hedge and bushes never got much attention. Now they will be MUCH easier to keep trimmed and looking good.This is the only powered trimmer I have used, so I can't compare it to others. However, it works great, so I would recommend it.

I was intimidated when first unboxed it. The blades looked sharp and had features I hadn't seen before. But when I used it they were lightweight and easy to use. I like the swivel feature to the handle from lift to right. There is also a blade cover. I will get some good use with these. I like it a lot. Highly recommend!!!

I trimmed established hedges. This tool was quiet enough, solidly built and well balanced so use was as easy as one could expect.For me it replaced a corded one, and I really appreciated the ease of use with this one as opposed to the cord. It also takes a charge quickly and holds it well. I am very pleased.

I like the portability, weight and no cord . Works fine and battery lasts about as long as I do tackling an assortment of hedges and some holly plants intent on taking over the county. However, the only reason not to give it a five, is that despite suggestions by GreenWorks, the battery does not work on any other GW tools. Takes a while to figure this out. No help from GreenWorks as E mails are not answered and neither are phone messages and calling them at 8 AM EDT and put on eternal waiting does not result in a response other than auto generated E mails that affect nothing..

Received product and just like one other reviewer stated, one of the battery terminals was bent. The box had no obvious damage in this area. I carefully re-bent the terminal and then proceeded to install battery. When I slid it in, I heard one click so I assumed the battery was installed properly. I went to fire up the cutter and I got nothing. I fully charged the battery and the results were no different. Well, after I had already assumed it was DOA and requested a replacement, I decided to try it more time as I was packing it up. I slid the battery in, and this time, I must have exerted a little more force because I heard two clicks. Well wouldn't you know, it started working. I decided to press on with return/exchange because of the bent terminal issue, and because the wheels were already in motion. I have not actually used it yet so I don't know about actual performance. I will update after I get replacement.Update 7/15/20 - Now that I know how to install the battery, this is a fantastic trimmer! The blade is super sharp! It cut with great ease and the battery lasted long enough to do the one job that I know will take the longest to accomplish. It's great not lugging around a cord anymore with this type of tool. I bought this trimmer to use in my backyard on some vines I have growing all over the back fence. It works awesome! It's easy to use, feels pretty safe and really works well. It's a tiny bit heavier than I was hoping but likewise it seems good quality. The blades are a heavy metal. The battery lasted a good 30+ minutes of full work, which was longer than I expected.

This Greenworks hedge trimmer is my first battery-powered gardening tool purchase. The trimmer is great for the few hedges I maintain in my residential garden. The hedge trimmer makes a smooth, precise cut with fewer passes. I especially like the rotating trigger handle; it makes vertical trimming easy and comfortable. I can even reach the top of my hedges without a ladder. It is also light enough to operate with one hand to increase my reach. I am very please with my decision to purchase this tool.

I'm trimming/ shaping two boxwoods 3' x 4' and a large 8' long x 6' high x 4' deep Yew hedge, every year. This trimmer gobbles through these with power and precision. I didn't realize it when I purchased it, but the handle can unlock and rotate 90 degrees to accommodate the size and position of the material being trimmed. Battery lasted for the entire job, the trimmer was lightweight and well balanced, and is 100X better than my B&D trimmer. I love this trimmer, reduces the time, effort and fatigue required to trim the shrubs in MY yard. Would recommend and would by again, it is a remarkably fantastic ergonomic design.
