Works great, but over priced.

As advertised--Amazon's equipment check ensured it would fit. Used several videos online to assist in repair and it turned out great.

Good replacement

My pool heater is a 12-year old H-series Hayward. When it started to rattle, knock and shut down I knew that the bypass and thermostat needed replacement. It's quite the pain to open the heater manifold, and much to my dismay the flimsy bypass in the heater had broken into pieces. The bypass valve was heavily corroded and the thermostat was barely working, again corrosion. This works perfectly. Along with the new bypass kit and some O-rings, my aging heater is now running like new.

Cost waay too much for a little thermostat. Used to buy these for the car for a few bucks. And this one is a little smaller. Comes with no instructions, so had to watch You Tube to figure out how to put in, facing which way, etc. But, since I was taking the thing apart and replacing the bypass valve, I figured I'd better do this too!

Worked perfectly but no instruction for correct positioning. The old one falls out when you take the cover off so it is difficult to determine the correct positioning but finally worked it out. Instructions would be more helpful.
