Affordable Swiss watch
First automatic in several years and couldn’t be happier. Grey leather adds a nice touch. Feels solid, will be using during dive trip this week and will update this following dive trial. To be fair - I purchased below 600 and it came with watch strap and change tool. Many compliments on it during this dive trip!

Swiss Made Established Brand Crazy Price!
Got a $1400 watch for $600 bucks! Don't miss out. Came with the extra rubber dive strap, spring bar tool, and packaging was straight from Alpina! This deal is for real!

Persistent time inaccuracy. 2 min/wk.
Persistent time inaccuracy. Fast forward by 2 min/wk. No wonder, it was discounted when i purchased the piece in Aug 2021. Not wearing. "Luckily" :), 11 diver's watches at hand. PADI certified diver.

Good quality.
This watch cames without an extra rubber strap and strap change tool. Sad.

great watch but no rubber strap included
This is a fantastic watch for the money and is great except that I got no rubber watch band or the tool to replace the bands which was included in the description.

A genuine bargain for those looking for a quality diving watch.
I was gifted this watch and at first, I thought it would be too big for my wrist. My regular watch is a Hamilton field Khaki with a 38 mm diameter and this watch has 44 mm in diameter. I was pleasantly surprised to find this big Diver wears like a smaller watch due to the short, high angle lugs and pillow case.It comes with two straps. One is a gray leather and the other is a silicon black band for diving. The leather strap is thick and high quality which suits the rest of the watch well. The watch exudes quality at every level from the heft of it to the fit and finish. The indices on the watch face and on the bezel line up perfectly, something many Divers don't. Also the bezel turns with a decisive sounding click and exhibits no play in the unidirectional ratchet system. Again a quality feature you won’t find on all DiversBoth my Hamilton, another Swiss made watch, and the Alpina have a see through casing back (see photo). While both the Hamilton and the Alpina have standard horology movements, the particular Stella based unit found on the Alpina is more interesting to look at. More jewels, gears, and other watch bits can be seen through the Alpina window than through the Hamilton unit. The quality aspect of the Alpina continues as you inspect the watch indices on the watch face. The lume is evenly applied into the raised and polished indices. The indices on the bezel appear to be inlaid and also contain lume.Lume is very bright at first but quickly disappears on the watch face indices, leaving only the hands and bezel indices clearly illuminated. Lume on the watch hands is the last to disappear, lasting about 45 minutes. The overall design language of the watch has an understated masculine look to it. The monochromatic grey watch face is understated with highlights of red outlining the minute hand and the counterbalance of the second had. A dash of red is also found on the Alpina logo found on top of the winding crown. The watch case is coated stainless steel and is titanium colored. The coating appears polished and creates an attractive contrast to the flat gray watch face.Rectangular blocks on either side of the round watch case and a squared-off, pillow style watch back add to the masculine style without being loud and Macho The Alpina reminds me of an instrument that might be found in the cockpit of an airplane, adding to it’s appeal.Pros-Quality of construction-Screw down crown with 300 meter depth rating-Anti-reflecting sapphire crystal-Wearability for smaller wrists-Understated masculine style-Alpina history of watch making since 1883.-Solid feel of ratchet on bezel. Has pleasant clicking sound when turned.-Solid feel of winding stem when winding or locking.-Red outline on minute hand making it easier to findCons-Skeleton style of hour hand makes it appear a little short.-Time reserve of 38 hoursControversial-No large numbers on Bezel. I like it but some won’t-Lack of bright color on Bezel. I think the monochromatic gray/ titanium look goes better with the watch. Some might prefer a brightly colored bezel.-Textured rubber grip on winding crown instead of serrated metal. I like the winding crown because it’s unique and works fine. Some will prefer a standard serrated crown. If you are looking for a high quality diver, this watch is a relative steal at about $700 dollars. The same watch movement found on this watch is found on other watch brands selling for well over $4000. The quality of construction is outstanding on the Alpina and deserves a serious look if you are in the market for a quality Diver at a great price.

Band outer layer detached less than 2 weeks of use
The media could not be loaded. I liked the unique look of the watch. Little that I knew, less than 2 weeks in use, and the band outer layer got detached from the rest of the band. Not only this is frustrating for such a watch, but it also tells that the quality of the the band material is inferior!Very unhappy with this issue!

For a diver the hands get lost in the cross hairs of the watch face
Just to be clear. THIS IS NOT A TITANIUM CASE. I guess I missed that it was just PVD coating on stainless steel. So I was caught off guard when I took it out of the box. It's comfortable on the wrist, but it does wear big. Over all it looks good, and the leather strap does make the watch (but mine was defective - more below)My big problem with this watch is that the hands get lost in the watch face. The cross hairs which usually mean aviator style (but guess could be submarine dive plane?) are quite pronounced and my eyes are constantly drawn to them instead of the hands. In certain positions with the wireframe section of the hands they can be almost invisible (see pic). For me takes a moment to see the time. I guess if I wore this watch every day then I would get used to it.Lume is okay, but not great, and does not last very long. No where near a Seiko diver. And worse than a Citizen diver.I should note that mine was from warehouse deals, and came with a delaminated strap between the two sections of leather (see pic). Also it did not come with "an extra rubber strap and strap change tool."For the difficulty for me to read the time, mismatch of aviator versus diver face style, the apparent quality of the product, and how the watch actually wears I can only give this 2 1/2 stars (in this case will round down).
