The Scorp are very horrifying creatures. They are released onto a planet and the sentient survivors are taken to the Scorp Queen where eggs will be implanted in the living host as food for the hatching larvae. Brennan fire instinctively and fortunately blasts the asteroid into harmless pieces. However, another huge rock pierces their shield and the ship begins to crumple. AI repair systems fill the hole with foam and they stabilize. They break through the asteroids into empty space with a giant moon-like asteroid filled with mining camps in front of them – and they see three Scorp eggsacs heading right for it. They must destroy the eggsacs and every single Scorp that is released into space since they can survive without air in their dormant state. Suddenly things change as the warrior’s brow furrows and he shows confusion in his slate-grey eyes. Something alarmed him as he sniffs the air and his head turns as his slate-grey eyes focus on Natali!Wow, the excitement is escalating! Is Natali going to be taken? As much as I love 💘this series, this particular story was so long winded that I just about gave up reading it 😐. Which really bummed me out cuz I really do love this series 😊. I'm hoping that this one is just a one off and the next book is better 😉. Thanks Corin.

I can't tell if this is my favorite book in the series or not, but itf is up there! I love this series!

Natalie is kept well protected but sequestered and lonely by her father in an effort to keep her safe, while he prepares to make a fortune an take control of an important part of a changing universe. Natalie oddly finds herself safer, and freer, with the Aurelians who kidnap her and hold her for ransom. And less lonely, since the Aurelians are able to spend some time with her, while her father's pursuit to keep them safe and well off pushes him away from her.Natalie both wants and does not want to have a connection to the Aurelians. She harbors a secret fascination and preoccupation with them, but at the same time, they did kidnap her, and falling for them wouldn't be right. The Aurelians do redeem themselves in a few ways, mostly by putting Natalie first in every way. There relationship evolves through a series of events that are infuriating, frightening, exhilarating, seductive, and touching. As much as this team is a do-what-it takes group, and as much as they are willing to compromise morals to a certain extent in a single minded pursuit, they are perceptive, sensible, and understanding to a greater degree than any trio we've seen before. And in their own times, can be quite clever.One thing that drove me a bit crazy during the story is, with as antiquated as many the ideas on this particular planet are, it's kind of surprising to me that no one considers marriage as a way for them all to get what they want. But perhaps they are too busy contemplating the intricate ways of proper kidnapping etiquette ;)

Brennan, Otho and Lazar are initally chasing after the scorps eggs killing each one before falling to planets and killing their inhabitants, while they are doing this the see what attracts them... a planet with a huge mine or Orbs....Natali for all her life has been imprisoned in her fathers house, mostly in her room . She read about Aurelians, then one day they turn up in her fathers Mansion, she sneaks downstairs and makes eye contact with the leader. That night she is kidnapped, can she be their Fated Mate, her body tingles with wanting but her mind logically says no they must of gone Rogue.I didnt want to do to many spoilers because if your a fan of these wonderful Aurelian books then you will know that with each book they are hot and exciting and worth while your time to read

I received an ARC from the author thru booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. In this story we learn about the fated mate Natali. She is the only child of a man who discovered the largest and richest deposit of Orb ever found on his mining property. He keeps her a prisoner because he is afraid of kidnapping even though he has kept the discovery quiet. Her triad discovers the Orb deposit from a scan on their ship. When they go to the planet representing the Empire they believe Natali is their fated mate. But when a kidnapping is planned they become hunted rogues. This was another good read about the Aurelian Empire and the triad's fated mates.
