Best coffee ever made, had it in New Orleans for the first time 6 years ago and we have to have it every day. Nothing is close.

One of my favorite coffees
I first tried this coffee when my wife and I visited New Orleans last year. It is very distinct. It is also a strong coffee. If you make a strong batch of this you will be wide awake for a long time. :) It has a very good taste, and I find that the chicory gives it a slightly spicy taste (very very slight). It almost tastes like there is a bit of black pepper in this. I heard people in New Orleans drink this with a lot of cream/milk (they fill their cup halfway with coffee and the other half with milk). I don't put in that much milk, I like it strong. I thought I would have to go back to NOLA to get this excellent coffee so it's good to know I can get it shipped right to my door, I highly recommend this to any coffee connoisseur.

Fabulous coffee
Just back from a trip to New Orleans and visited the wonderful Cafe de Monde and I am obsessed by their cafe au lait. I use a cafetière to brew this coffee and mix 50/50 with hot milk. Gorgeous strong chicory coffee. Highly recommend if you like good coffee.
