Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas

This book read like something I would expect to see on Wattpad. It wasn’t even edited well with multiple grammatical errors. The plot was obvious and predictable from the beginning. The way the mother wrote In the diary to her son did it flow whatsoever. Some rang true and in other parts she was trying to describe making love to her husband in a diary to her infant son- what son would EVER want to read that?

I don't usually read romance stories unless they include a murder. But I read this one when it first came out years ago. I really, really liked this story. I am not kidding about the Kleenex. The writing was great and unexpected that a man wrote it. I enjoyed it as much this time as the first time. Keep in mind the story of the five balls every day of your life. And one today is worth two tomorrow's.

On Sunday morning and asked what I was reading. I told him it was a James Patterson love story. He asked me why I chose to read that particular novel. I explained that I loved the way James Patterson writing make feelings wash over me like I was living the story. Not many writers can do that. Although short, and a little corny, this was just the perfect story for a beautiful, rainy, Sunday morning that leaves the forest and grass multiple shades of green

I highly recommend this book. My heart has broken a million times. I have never cried so hard over a book. I loved how Suzanne wrote in her diary. Such a beautiful gift to give your child. I loved how much they loved each other (Suzanne and Matt), And then included Nicholas into their bond, making it the 3 of them forever. I even loved how Katie had the courage to continue to read the diary.By the way, my kindle account is under my husbands name, so it appears he wrote this review. No, I did. Katie Petrasek.

Who Knew james Patterson Had a Wide Romantic Streak? As a long time fan of Patterson’s books, I certainly never suspected this hidden talent! I absolutely LOVED this book. It is one of those rare books I will read over and over again! Thank you, Mr. Patterson for brightening ,y day with such a poignant love story that made me cry like a baby! Your talent is unassailable! By the way., your descriptions of the beauty of Martha’s vineyard made this desert-dwelling New Mexican Hearn to be there!

This is an unexpected wonderful surprise . This book is filled with so much love , gratitude just to be alive and in love and happy ! When you read the book you might wish you were part of the diary . There is also shocking sadness that you will experience and I recommend this to anyone . Especially women who really wants to read something so amazingly different . You can't go wrong with James Patterson I give this five stars and recommended book very highly

I am a 79 year old man and a little rough around the edges but this book stuck with me. I read many books and rarely romance types but for some reason, probably because of the author, gave it a try about 10-12 years ago. I've since re-visited this book at least three times and just bought a xmas copy for my DIL . She'll get the book as a used copy because I'm into it for the fourth time.

My boss was cleaning up one day and going through a lot of papers and she asked me had I ever read the Lesson of the Five Balls? I said no and proceeded to read the short paragraph. I was floored because I was right in the middle of losing someone I loved dearly with whom I had not spoken with for almost two years due to both of us being stubborn. I shared with my boss at how strange it was that she found this and shared it with me now. At the bottom was the name of this book where the Lesson came from, and my boss thought I should look into reading the book. Well I just finished reading it and it is truly amazing, and a must read!! I have never read any of James Patterson's work before and from what I can gather this seems to have been a little different from his usual work. All I can say is this. I don't believe in coincidences anymore. From another book by another author, Squire Rushnell, called "When God Winks at You", I believe that my boss finding that sheet of paper that day which lead me to read the book is God winking at me, letting me know He knows exactly what is going on with me. Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas wakes us up to what is important in this life, and I believe one can only come away with a little more wisdom after reading this book!

Not your usual James Patterson book. It could be a romance, but it's not just that. It could be sentimental, but it's not quite that either. Told from two points of few - that of the diarist, Suzanne, writing to her baby son and Katie, who is sent the diary to read. The story is told tenderly and with, it seems, some insight. It's a story of love - lost and rediscovered, with a few other emotions thrown in for good measure! It's not the longest book, which probably stops it becoming too gushy and sentimental. Like many other reviewers, I read it in a couple of sittings and enjoyed it very much.

I'm a fan of James Patterson's crime thriller books and I love the short chapters and fast paced plots. I was aware that this one was a love story and therefore would be more sedate - but I didn't expect the plot to be so predictable. I found it very cheesy and cliché and although there was an apparent 'twist' at the end I had seen in coming a mile off. Unless you are very easily surprised or have no requirement for originality in a story then I would avoid this book. On a plus side it does not take long to read and you don't have to pay much attention in order to follow what's going on.

What an excellent book, story line sad emotional, what a page Turner could not put it down. Read it in two days.This book so different to other books I have read by James Patterson. Enjoyed every word.

The book arrived quickly and in good condition. Would use again.
