Alkalinity Plus is a pH Buffer-25 lb bag, and is used to help prevent a pH bounce. This product will lock in the ideal range of pH by neutralizing acids such as acid rain. This product will not cloud water like the consumer grade. It is an industrial grade Sodium Bicarbonate. Ideally you should maintain the total alkalinity anywhere between 80 to 120 ppm. To raise the alkalinity 10 ppm, add 1 lb. Per 8,000 every gallons of water.
