Seachem Laboratories Alkaline Buffer - 1 Kilograms

I've used this in my home aquariums (in conjunction with the acid buffer, as per directions) to buffer them to desired pH ranges. I also work in battery R&D for a living, and we use this in our water baths at work to keep them buffered around pH 7. Very easy to use, works very well.

you will definitely get time between water changes as your ph wont hit the dirt after a few feedings , my best advice is a little will go a long way , the recommended doseage is not really necessary and a bit overkill a little goes a long way i put in 3 teaspoons in a 125 gallon tank and i buffer at 7.7 PH steadily . i do weekly water changes and feed heavily and never had a issue .

Like and for fish

Works perfectly. Follow instructions carefully for dosing. Works very well with alkaline buffer to moderate / buffer ph to exactly where YOU want it. If you don't like this product, it's probably user error. My plants and fish both thrive in my freshwater tropical tank.

Fixed my issue ASAP over two days as directed. Got the Acid Buffer to counter the PH but it didn't become an issue in might particular case. Do have it just in case and based on how it's intended use is worth having both.

This product I am using to lower my ph from 7.8 to 6.5 and even more!!I use it with Seachem Acid Buffer 4 Kilos , but I dont follow the describtion 100%I put quarter of a tea spoon from this product and one tea spoon of Seachem Acid Buffer 4 Kilos!!works just fine with me!!I am more than happy with it makes my life easyand no algae problems!!Take it

I am using this in context of CO2 injection for planted tanks - to keep KH around 6 and CO2 between 25-30ppm. I do need to dose 1/2 tsp every second day in a 36 gallon bowfront, but it does the trick...

I probably didn't need this much at once, but I'll never have to buy more again. Such a small amount will change your pH, so be careful.
