Got this item several days ago. Out of the box it works. However, a couple of irritating things. It's not nearly as quiet as other air purifiers I have. I got this one because it has a charcoal filter to remove VOC's. But it doesn't have a VOC display. All it tests and displays is PM 2.5. Fortunately, I have something that will tell me over time if the charcoal filter is effective. The removeable front cover doesn't fit snugly and since the fan appears to be slightly unbalanced there is a constant rattle. Fixed this with some padding taped on the inside of the cover. Lastly the setup instructions tell you to take off the front cover and put it back on. They forgot to mention the reason to remove the cover is to take the plastic bag off the filter.

We were looking for an air purifier that would help to clean up the air from a combination of pet dander, dust in the air, and occasional really bad air quality from wildfires, etc. This was one of the lowest priced units that automatically adjusts fan speed based on indoor air quality and provides the AQI number. This unit is very well made, is very quiet on the low fan setting (where it almost always is). With the unit in the living room, it is drowned out by the refrigerator when it is running. The replacement filters are reasonably priced compared to many comparable units.The only negative we have to report so far is the remote controls. They are basically useless. The item description says "2 wireless updated remote controls included with 20+ feet working distance for your convenience." They don't work from even 6 feet away UNLESS you are standing up and holding the remote high enough in the air such that the beam from the remote in not obstructed by the air purifier's case. Basically, the angle needs to be about 45 degrees downward toward the top of the unit. This is a design flaw in either the remote and / or the unit itself. HOWEVER, that being said, not having a usable remote is a minor inconvenience.Wanger, in the item listing, the unit identifies Wagner as a company of Switzerland. The product is actually made in China, and the quality of the documentation + the remote issue isn't exactly what one would expect from a country that brought us Swiss watches...

I bought this air purifier to deal with the fumes from my hobby 3D printer. I don't print with exotic or toxic plastics but certain colored filaments do give off fumes from paints (?) used in the formulations and those fumes tend to irritate my nose and throat.I have it sitting about 3 feet from the 3D printer at the same level with the fan on medium. I started a fairly large print in black and went to the post office. When I got back I really only detected the slightest of odor and even then had to be right on top of the printer. I'm quite pleased with the air purifier's performance.Not quite as pleasing is the lack of replacement filters, but that is NOT the fault of either Amazon or the manufacturer. Blame shipping issues from over seas due to the COVID 19 pandemic. I won't need them immediately anyway.I did email the manufacturer to ask about filter availability and received their answer in less than 30 minutes. The answer is above plus they said they should be able to get filters possibly by May sometime. The proper filter is not even showing on Amazon just now but the manufacture's suppot did provide an Amazon link for the right filter, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VVRF5QF.All in all I am completely happy with this product and its support. If you buy one just don't foget to open the cover and remove the plastic bag the filter is shipped in so you don't end up like all the people I see giving really bad reviews here.

Bought for Covid patient and it helped him immensely to breathe better. I selected this brand because Covid virus is .01 microns in size and most of the other purifiers are good only down to 0.3 micron. Covid patient said initially it ran all the time but as the air quality improved, it runs maybe once an hour. The positive ion-effect on health and mood is well documented.”Finally, I can breathe” he said and wished he had the unit from day one of his illness. Manufacturer provided info via email that isn’t on the product description: w888 black emits 0 bpm ozone and white 50 bpm ozone. I don’t know why there is a difference as I received the data in separate emails. WHO ozone limit is 60 bpm And FDA is 50 bpm - so this unit is safe. Great product. Tried to order one today for our home and they are sold out. Model 777 doesn’t have the ionizer, but has updated display. Air purifier was initially used in a bedroom then on the entire second floor of a colonial. Unit is designed for larger space so it’s no longer used in the bedroom unless the door is open.

I almost returned this item - it acted up one time and the gauge indicator went from green to red while I had it for a few days, but the main reason was the cost of your filters. Maybe there is something you can do about it - perhaps reduce the price in the form of "special buy" or coupon. Other than that it is a very good unit. It did improved the air in my house withing 10 minutes. I hope this unit will last and the red indicator will only show when it is time (6-8 months) to change the filter. I purchased this originally to help get rid of fumes that might be caused by paints or glues from light crafting as well as tame some of the pet dander that can cause allergies. So far this device has been an absolute game changer for living with multiple pets.Pros:1. Compact-ish2. Easy to set up3. Quality filters (one is provided)4. Capable of moving a lot of air volumeCons:1. Made of cheap plastics2. Controls too simple or dumbed down3. Filters are a bit pricey (naturally)Conclusion:Despite the cons specially the cheap plastic construction, I still absolutely recommend this to anyone who lives in a particularly dusty house and just suffers because of it. Its helped me a lot and I bet it'll help others too!

Seller refunded my money but I feel obligated to share my thoughts on the design. I spent weeks researching all the different purifiers on Amazon.-PPM display wasn’t working. Ended up taking it apart and found the sensor wasn’t plugged in to the circuit board. Works now but never reads below 009. Seems to notice when air quality changes though, especially for VOCs.-Didn’t come with IONIZER functionality if even though the description said it had it. I bought the white one that had an ‘ i ‘ at the end of its model number because it had the IONIZER. I could see in the circuit board an empty plug with the stamping ‘ion’, so not sure why mine didn’t have it.-Manufacturer website is not helpful, tried communicating and never heard back.-Louder than I expected but will vary with proximity to you and the volume of space you place it in.-Sleep function isn’t much quieter than low setting, turns off display though.-Doesn’t help with odors or smells.Basically, without the cool display screen this isn’t any different than the others and not worth the $$$.

This Air Purifier is lightweight, sturdy, and sharp looking. The air smells clean and fresh coming out of the unit. The filters are all true HEPA filters and they are pretty big, so their life and efficiency will be greater than in other similar units. The noise level is tolerable. On speed 1 or in the night mode you can barely hear it running. On turbo it sounds like it is circulating a lot of air but is not too noisy to be annoying or anything. It has a sensor that monitoring the air quality and resetting itself to a corresponding fan speed to clean the air fast. Large and informative display shows air quality, particles and temperature. Comes with two remotes. I can tell it has improved my health starting the first day I got it. If I walk to a different room that hasn't been purified with it, I can tell immediately and I start to feel it. This is definitely a good buy for any household but especially for those with little kids and adults prone to allergies and breathing problems. The shipping was fast, and the box arrived with no damage.
