Good Product
I rewrapped my handlebars using both the gel and microtex tape from Fizik. Overall, the installation went well. I did have to cut the gel to get it to fit (easy) and the gel wasn't as sticky as I was expecting it to be. Only one of the four sections adhered to the handlebar. I cleaned the gel and handlebars to try to get them all to stick, but no dice. So, for three out of four sections, it took a little work to keep the gel in the right place and get the tape wrapped correctly. But, that was a one-time deal that really just lent itself to a couple of beers. The gel itself has been tremendous. It doesn't add a lot of padding, but it does a great job dampening vibration. With my previous cushioned wrap, my hands would start to go numb about an hour and a half into a ride. Now, I'm going without gloves and having little to no numbness on 3+ hour rides. It's good stuff. I can't imagine not using it now that I've had it.

Handlebar Padding for those who are tired of the road vibrations.
Did the job in padding my handlebars, and perhaps a little too good! This is a pretty thick gel wrap that will eae the shock of bumpy roads. This gel-wrap padding was a bit too thick so it only stayed on my bike's handlebars for a month. Some riders who want/need this much padding may really enjoy it.

Fizik Bar Gel
I bought this product in an attempt to remedy some moderate palm pain I experienced on longer rides. Initially, I thought I simply needed to be fit to my bike, which did improve some things, but the palm pain remained. When it came time to replace my bar tape, I decided to pick this up and throw it on underneath the new tape. I'm pleased to say that this Fizik Bar Gel alleviated about as much pain as possible. Of course, I still get physically worn out, but no longer in the palms. I no longer have to cut my rides shorter than I'd prefer, thanks to this inexpensive product. Also, the gel feels super durable, and will likely hold up to plenty more wrappings in the future. There are a few things that could be considered downsides, but to me, they are not. First, the product adds a degree of trickiness to wrapping fresh tape; keeping the tape taut and the bar gel flush with the handlebar. The underside of the gel bar has a natural stickiness to it, but it is not adhesive. Unless your handlebar is brand new or 110% clean, you may have some trouble keeping the gel bar stuck to the handlebar during wrapping like I did. Second, while the gel bar is extremely dense and probably only a millimeter or two thick, it does add a bit of girth to your bar. I have an older 26.0mm handlebar, so it's not a big deal to me -- I actually enjoy this added girth. Those with 31.8mm bars who feel they already have a hard time getting a good grip due to smaller hands may not appreciate the extra girth. So, if you're properly fit to your bike and are experiencing hand/palm/wrist pain, you should really consider picking up Fizik Bar Gel.

Pretty good gel
I had the Planet Bike ones that were sold on here. Those were very gummy and smooshy like glue. They actually smashed under the bars over time. These by comparison are like a harder durometer silicone it holds it shape way better. They still dampen bumps rather well and improve comfort over the PB ones. I'd recommend a larger length bar tape it seems I had to wrap my bars quite tight to get the regular length tape to fit right. Due to the tape being wrapped so tight it kinda squeezed a bit of the cushy dampening out.

Not as much padding as I hoped
Not as much padding as I had hoped. But better than nothing. It’s gel that goes under your bar tape on your handlebars, which helps with shock absorption. I put it under my bar tape for cushioning on my gravel bike. It wasn’t as much as I had expected. It was easy to install wrapping standard bar tape over top of it.

Great product, very easy to apply
Bought two of these, one to try on a vintage road bike that had minimal padding provided by the ancient bar tape. After removing all of the old bar tape, I applied the gel pads which are adhesive backing. They are very soft and pliable and easily conform to the shape of the handlebar. I just had to do some minor trimming to fit my bars. After wrapping with new bar tape, the result was spectacular. I would get hand numbness after a short period of time riding this bike in the past, and a test ride with the new pads and bar tape was very comfortable. Excellent product, easy to apply, I would recommend highly.

These pads are just right; not too thick, not too thin.
One of my favorite online cycling retailers has quit carrying these, stating that they found that they slipped around too much under the bar tape, but I have not found that to be the case. The pads are big enough that you will likely need to trim a bit off to make them fit the areas of your handlebars where you want them; on the tops and the drops. The material is very grabby, so it's not going to slip, especially after you tightly wrap bar tape around them. The material is not so thick that your bars will feel squishy. I barely notice that it's even there, but I know that I'm getting just a little bit of extra padding. I only have used this on bikes with frames that are overly stiff and offer little compliance. On frames that provide a bit more compliant ride, I don't bother. This stuff will last for many years, perhaps forever, as the gel does not break down and compress.

If you suffer from wrist pain while riding , give these a try
Bought a second set for my wife’s bicycle after enjoying mine so much. When I started riding road bikes I quickly felt the dreaded wrist pain that comes with it, I tried moving my hands on the bars to different positions but was afraid of eventually having longer lasting pain. I installed these with Cinelli cork bar wrap and couldn’t be happier. I still alternate positions on my bars but notice over time I rarely have to take my hands off overall to shake them from being in pain or starting to go numb. I’m not saying it fixed the single point failure or cause of the pain , but in combination got rid of it by a good 90%

These Fizik gel pads effectively reduce "road buzz" and vibration from being passed up into your hands and as such increase ride comfort and reduce the tendency to develop numb hands. Once in place they do increase the handlebar thickness, which may be a good or bad thing depending on your hands. I also found that the adhesive on my handlebar tape does not grab and stick quite as well to the silicone pad. I compenstated by winding the tape on a little tighter than I usually would so the tension and compression helps to keep it in place
