Bozeman FlyWorks Blue Floating Fly Line

As another person stated, the best part of this deal is the fly box. The color scheme of the fly line is great but that is about it, the line I ordered was a 4wt but its more like 2/3 wt, very thin, lots of stretch, and just overall bleh. I love the Bozeman leaders but this line just disappointed, there are better bargin fly lines on Amazon.

I hate to say it, because I really liked the feel and color of this line. However, the product was purchased last September and I used it a handful of times in the fall. My 3rd time out on the water I noticed some cracks in the line, and now it looks like the pictures of disintegrating line on the reviews of BFW yellow/green line. I bought the yellow/green line in a 4wt around the same time, and it is holding up and seems to be quality line.

Product looks great, comes with a fly case which is cool. Mid level pricing. The company sent emails detailing how to set everything up in case you didn’t know. Will definitely be buying from them again

If it weren't for the fly box, I would rate this purchase as one star. The fly box was quality and functional. I wish I could say the same for the line. First of all it is weighted smaller than other comparable lines I have used. I ordered the 4 wt line for my 4wt rod. I've had other lines on my 4wt and they were larger in diameter and heavier which made them shoot much better. The 4 wt in this line seems more like a 2 or 3 wt line. I read other reviews on this line (different color) that said the same thing, but I figured I should order the same size line as my rod. My rod with this line does not load at all due to the smaller weight. OK, my mistake, I should have ordered a size up like all the reviews said but I thought that ordering the correct weight line for my rod would be the best option. More importantly though, the line would not float. It started to sink after 5 minutes of fishing. I thought maybe I ordered the wrong line but after looking at the description it says FLOATING fly line. I removed this line and replaced it with the year old line that I took off (not going to mention the line but it is a popular brand) .I tried to save a little money with this line, but you get what you pay for. I got a $35 fly box.

Sucks. Damaged and tangled beyond comprehension. If I didn't need it tomorrow if go get some real line and cut this into pieces for the pure pleasure of destroying it.After more frustration I will never buy from Bozeman again. What a horrible method of selling something, or maybe they did it just to piss you off.

Picked up a line from Bozeman Fly Works last year, no problems with the line. Saw that they had a "Blue Line" this seasonbut was interested not in the Blue tip, taper, & belly but in the dark grey running line. The grey or black line is highly visible on the surface of the water (stream or lake) when there's glare. Picked up a set, 3-6 to spool up this season. The fly boxes are a nice extra and I upgraded to try a "Tacky Box"...like I need more boxes, but the grandkids may. Thanks for the great customer service too.

I'm not someone that changes their flyline religiously so if you are someone that is very particular about your equipment, take my review with a grain of salt.I've been out probably two dozen times since putting it on the 4wt, and its held up in the two ends of the temperature spectrum; 1) 90 degree heat and humidity; and 2) when the ice had to be taken off the guides over winter.The line is still pretty sensitive on takes and is easy to mend. For 30$ that seems pretty good to me.
