I used this device to get my husband in and out of bed, in and out of the wheelchair, on and off the toilet as well as on and off the shower bench. It worked perfectly as long as he could pull himself upright with a little assistance from me. He is 160# and I am 119# so this device made it possible for me to take care of my husband at home.

This was easy to assemble and very sturdy. Easy to move on hard flooring, but a bit harder on carpeting, as was expected. For now, it's getting the job done for us and making the moving of my 85 yr. old husband much easier. It was recommended by our home health care workers. I did make a separate purchase of a belt to assist on days when he's having more problems, and that really saves wear and tear on my back. I wish we could use it with his lift chair (which has a square metal base right on the floor), but that has to do with the design of the chair and is no fault of this device.

This is the best invention. Strong and sturdy, it allows me to get up and stand to be wheeled to and from the bathroom, to get into the car and wheelchair. I have MS, and had a fall and fractured my leg in two places, which left me bedridden and unable to bear weight or bend my leg for three months. Now that the leg can bend and bear weight, this devise allows me to get up with the assistance of one person and a gait belt.
