Great book for young EU travelers
This book contains a great deal of information but is not as valuable of a resource as I had hoped for. If I were in college or freshly out of college and if I was a resident of the EU this book would be just what someone would need who was wanting to see the world before "settling down." However, as a 50+ year old and a US citizen I'm not finding this that useful. Don't get me wrong, as I stated it is filled with information for working throughout the world, and I have found some good information but most of the information appears to be geared towards younger European travelers of which I am neither.

A must read bible for travellers
Brilliant book. I had a very early edition of this book in the 1980's and was definitely my travel bible. I gained so much insight to what some would say 'outrageous ideas' and working prospects whilst travelling and sailing around the world which I did for over 10 years. I recently bought this book for my daughter who has spent a year in US, Canada and Europe and is now itching to see more of the world. I also bought this book for other young travellers who also gained so much information and ideas. Not sure which edition this is, but hopefully it will continue updating for the young and older travellers for future years. Well done Susan Griffith... awesome indeed to be able to help people achieve their ideas dreams and goals for the future.

If you're serious about seeing the world, but happen ...
If you're serious about seeing the world, but happen to be a few dollars short, here's a solution that could make your travel dreams a reality. My advice: Do it while you're younger (under 60!)

An essential contribution to any young personal's trip abroad.
I bought my first copy in 1987 and it guided me to having a great year abroad with groups of similar minded folks. It have relief to know you could go pretty much anywhere and make a buck to keep a simple traveler some savings for the leg of his trip. I actually came back to the states with more money than I left after working the winter at a AFRC in Garmisch Germany. Hat's off to Susan. I have given a copy to each of my 3 stepsons and a niece. The latest upto date version I bought for my 17 year old son with a round the world ticket for graduation.Even if you travel on your savings and don't stop to work, it's nice to know you could stay a while somewhere along the way and not go broke. Peace of mind.Matt HuuskoDover, NH

Makes you want to pick up and leave right now!
This book is sure to make you want to just grab your stuff right now and leave, even if you have little money. It shows you how it's possible, and even gives examples of other people's journeys to give you even more inspiration. There is an abundance of options, and some could even give you others ideas not written about here. It is very helpful as it gives you web links to websites to help you contact / find jobs. Only thing I would say is there are many ideas and options not written about here, but I guess it can't write about every single idea. I think the Asia section could've been better, but I feel this book is more orientated to actually earning money abroad, rather than just working for keep (although that is included in some parts). All in all a good book and i'm glad I bought it!

Amazing
This book is incredible! It is so useful if you are looking into a gap year and travelling abroad, or working abroad in general, it has loads of helpful tips from people who have been and experienced travelling and working. But it also has great advice on visas and such like. It offers a whole range of ideas from jobs you can do (it even lists the fruit picking seasons in Australia for example) to places to stay and how to get there. Definitely worth money as I don't think you could get a more helpful book anywhere!!

Very few ideas and mostly for Americans
I was hoping for much more while buying this book. The options presented are limited to being an English teacher, waiter, field worker and the like. Lots of repetitive information and no insights as to what skills are required in each country. My copy goes to the recycling bin.

MUY BIEN
Todo pasó muy bien.Podrían tener una tienda más cerca para coger el producto siempre que la persona no esté en casa para lo coger.
