I am happy
The main reason I bought this remote was because my Blue-ray player remote keeps needed cleaning (under the button pad) because many of the buttons do not function; such as the stop button, fast forward, etc. This unit is easy to set up and works as advertised.I do wish the layouts on the different remotes included more of the original remotes layouts and buttons, but there is a button you can access on each layout that includes most of every remotes extra functions (such as sub menu, functions, etc.).As mentioned by other users, the use of the remote will use the battery up quickly, but I think this happens mostly while you are programming it. One I started using it casually, it seemed to work fine so long as I turned my iPod Touch off when finished with the remote.I have not tried the remote learning feature yet. I would like to use this feature on unused buttons on the preprogrammed templates to provide function for missing buttons.Overall I like the remote and recommend it to anyone who wants the convenience of a programmable remote.

After reading about the FLPR it seemed like the right way to solve the problem and to ...
Our old universal remote ( bottom end Logitech) has had problems for some time so I was looking for an inexpensive solution. After reading about the FLPR it seemed like the right way to solve the problem and to re-employ one or two old devices that have been sitting around in drawers since they were superseded by better, newer, faster and even more wasteful, unnecessary devices (but that's another story). It took quite a while to figure out how to make everything work but we now have one button options for TV/DVR, Blu-Ray, DVD, Roku, Chromecast, and some other functions. Some macros refuse to work, not sure why, but they just don't, despite repeated attempts to set them up. So I keep the regular DVR remote handy in order to navigate to some menus. It's early days yet, and we haven't got into the habit of using the FLPR as yet, so 3 stars for now.

Works perfectly
This product works exactly as described. I am very happy with this purchase and would buy this product again. I don't understand the reviews were this product receives one star because the purchaser didn't think they needed to have an ad on adapter which is stupid. Like your iPhone has an infrared device? I did have a problem where in my excitement to use the device I downloaded the app and then attached The adapter. The way to go about it is to just plug the adapter into your phone and then your phone will recognize it and download the app and it worked perfectly after that. The only suggestion that I would make for this product is that they would have programmable keys for those menu items that are in the more section because if it's all the way on the bottom of the more section then it becomes difficult to use.

VERY NICE!!
Very easy and simple to use and get going...All you have to do is insert the adapter into your iphone/ipod touch/ipad and it will ask if you want to download and install the software from the app store. After installing, I added my TV which is Visio, then named the button and done! No codes to input, no training the remote (unless you want to). It worked with 2 tv's, RCA audio reciever, Visio BluRay player, xbox 360 and PS2. All without codes. Just pick what it is, what brand it is, and name the button. The macros make it that much better. I programmed one macro button to turn on the TV, Audio Receiver, and Xbox.Works great!! And it costs just as much as a universal remote, but this has unlimited devices and 10 times easier!

Fantastic Product! Needs better support.
I love this product! It just works. I've been testing it at the houses of families and friends and it works everywhere. My only gripe is with getting help. There is no place to ask a question. The web site does not contain much information. For instance I have seen comments that it can work with the Apple TV, but I can't find that option anywhere. Add some form of customer support and I'll rate it 6 stars!! But honestly, I am very pleased with how well it works for the products it does support. It's small and fits firmly into the iPhone and iPad. My kids are always misplacing the remotes. Now I have backup!

software lacks important features
My Re remote from Newkinetix broke and this remote is no longer available. I bought the FLPR because I read the L5 software is no longer supported. The Re software is vastly better. The FLPT software doesnt allow custom arrangement of keys. There are many extraneous keys on multiple pages. I want to create a reduced key remote like I did with my Re. For activities there is only a macro to run. I cannot create a new remote that combines keys from multiple remotes or add my list of TV channels or program a macro for a single key. The Roku remote they supply is nearly unuseable. I'm very disappointed and now will start looking at open source remotes. I really just want my Newkinetix Re back!

Its okay
I either didn't read into the product enough or it wasn't published exactly how you are to connect it to your tv. You have to have the remote and program every single button by having it face the old remote and "learn" every button. I think next time I am just going to wait till apple decides to incorporate rfi into their products.

... FULLY TEST THIS PRODUCT SO I CAN'T SAY ANYTHING GOOD OR Bad about it
I HAVE NOT HAD THE TIME TO FULLY TEST THIS PRODUCT SO I CAN'T SAY ANYTHING GOOD OR Bad about it; If the software plus the adapter perform as advertised, it will make a great addition to my audio/visual setup-using 1 remote for all my devices is enticing! I am hopeful that it performs as advertised.
