Land Rover Discovery Diesel Service and Repair Manual: 04-09 (Haynes Service and Repair Manuals) Automotive – January 1, 2012

What has happened these books used to be fully informative. They used to be so detailed that you could strip a car down and put it back together again.We tried to take the intercooler out of our vehicle, firstly it did break down each instruction but all of sudden it stopped as if a stage was missing. Basically failed to mention that you had to remove this that and the other before you could remove the intercooler out. Very disappointed as it took longer to do the job than it should have.

Wasn't expecting it not to be hardback. The use of black and white photos on cheap grey paper makes the pictures virtually unusable and the text not so easy to read. I grew up with hardback Haynes Manuals for all my cars and they were great but this new style paperback is a bit disappointing. Do they even do hardback versions nowadays?.

Just as I would have expected from a Haynes manual. Was worried as one of earlier reviews said it was a "paper back" but was the hard back version. I'm not fit enough now to do my own repairs but still find these manuals fascinating as an insight to the workings of the vehicle and a better indicator of service requirements than service book.

As with all Hayns manuals, this one is clear, concise with easy to follow instructions and good pictures of the vehicle parts and actions needed to maintain your Land Rover Discovery. Very pleased that I bought it. Should save on a few garage bills!

Very poor quality photos made worse by poor quality paper. No wonder it is sealed to prevent examination. They will not accept returns once the seal is broken
