Nice racks…instructions could be better
I mounted two racks, one in the 60 lb/32” size and the other in the 40 lb/26” size. I have been struggling with a fold up rack in the bathtub for 20 years, as my laundry room is a pass through from the garage with no floor or wall space. The racks look great and will hold a lot; they are out of the way when folded. My bathroom looks much less cluttered. As for installation, the instructions are both inadequate and incorrect. (The large rack was much easier to hang than the small one, and the instructions were slightly better too; but still wrong.) However, I put the racks up in a short time, using the provided toggles. In my opinion, wall mounting hardware is always the worst part of a project, and subject to many failures such as wrong size holes, parts falling in the wall, broken parts, etc. as people have noted. (I’m writing this review as a thank you/pass on for the many reviews that alerted me to the installation details.) But maybe it’s not realistic for accessory companies to provide us with a complete education on hanging hardware. If you are not very familiar with toggles, plastic wall anchors, etc. I suggest you visit your local friendly hardware store and ask them to show you some more homeowner-friendly hardware (I have personally had nothing but good experiences with the screw-in kind that don’t require any drilling). And ask them to walk you through exactly how to install the mounts and your rack. Also, as people have said, the wall brackets are extremely sharp; don’t grab them while you’re screwing your toggles/anchors in. Grab the rods.

A well-made product that holds a ton of laundry
I bought two of these and mounted them in our shower. I use the upper rack mostly for shirts on hangers, and the lower rack for jeans and other pairs of pants. Sweatshirts and jeans when wet are quite heavy, yet the racks have no trouble with them. There is some bending of the rods from the weight, but that disappears as the clothes dry and the racks quickly return to their original shape. More importantly, the scissor frame doesn't deform from the weight. The bronze finish is a beautiful anodized aluminum that complements the champaign bronze finish of our bathroom fixtures, although it doesn't match them exactly. There are a few things I would note about this laundry rack. Although it costs a bit more than competing products, it's significantly larger than most, which are not as wide, nor do they extend as far. The frame is made of aluminum rather than stainless steel, making the rack very light-weight and much easier to install and manage. The scissor frame components are hollow as opposed to the solid stainless steel used in competing products, which again makes it lighter and sturdier. However, there are plastic caps on the ends of the framework, top and bottom, which may not be as durable in the end. I'm also a bit concerned that moisture could condense inside the framework, leading to mold that wouldn't be evident except through disassembly. I'll be monitoring for that. A small hole drilled in the bottom cap might be a way to eliminate the possibility. The mounting brackets are also anodized aluminum and attractive, but there are sharp edges, so one needs to be careful when mounting them to a wall. I did not use them in any case, as I didn't want to drill holes in my glass tile. Instead, since I already had grab bars mounted at exactly the same width as the racks, I mounted the drying racks to the grab bars using aluminum extrusion rails, which worked perfectly.

Laundry Saver
My laundry room/mud room is very small. I have quite a few clothes that need to hang to dry or worse yet- the tag says to "lay flat" to dry. In my house, there is no such place. So I have a few sweater tunics that started out as sweaters but were hung to dry and stretched. I happen to like them as tunics, so it works but not everything is that way. I have been using a tripod style clothes rack to hang clothes on, but it is often in the way or kids will knock the clothes off of it as they go galloping past.I read lots of reviews, looked at tons of pictures and decided that this was the rack for me. My husband is very handy at putting stuff up and had the drying rack up in a matter of minutes. I have mine pretty high, it's above a window in my laundry room but I wanted it where clothes would be safe, it would be completely out of the way in unused space and the added benefit of warmer temps closer to the ceiling. It's a horrible thing to hang dry your clothes just to take them down the next day and have them still damp and now smelly.I feel this rack is pretty heavy duty. I like the fact that it is stainless. Where we mounted the rack, we were able to make use of the studs in the wall so the included hardware was fine for the job. I saw pictures of people wiping a lot of black stuff off their rack. My drying rack seemed to be really clean. I just wish I had known about this rack sooner. I highly recommend!

Heavy duty workhorse
I have clothes that need to hang to dry and we just moved leaving us with a great laundry room but nowhere to hang clothes to dry.....nowhere to place a drying rack that sits on the floor even. I saw this and got it of course when I got it it didn't fit where I wanted it to but it's installed now on another wall a bit too high for me but it is what it is that's my fault - the product itself is heavy it appears to be made to last I will enjoy having all this consolidated space to hang clothes to dry that's for sure - the one CON - once it's installed it's so stiff pulling it out that when you go to push it back to the wall you literally have to walk it back side to side it will not push with one hand smoothly and it won't even go back in one movement with your hands on the center of the first rod you have to walk it back right to left left to right until it's back to the wall, that will be annoying as all get out, but it's a great piece and serves my purpose looks great and takes up no room once it's folded to the wall so that one grievance will drive me nuts but it will not make me hate it cause it's a heavy duty piece and worth having......
