R2 R1 L2 L1 Replacement Trigger Buttons + Springs for Sony PS4 Controller (Black)

Do not listen to the reviews of people complaining that the buttons don't fit. They simply just didn't do the proper research to determine that not every PS4 controller model is the same when it comes to buttons and springs.My buttons were not broken, but I disassembled the controller to do a deep clean and one of the springs for the triggers went flying into another dimension to never be found again. Bought this kit to replace the missing spring and the controller is back in working order. Buttons also fit just fine, but kept the originals in place since they are not broken.

They work, they're cheap. Just make sure you have the right model number. The other day I was pissed that a my controller had been broken for a few months, particularly the R1 and R2 were both damaged. R1 would stick down, and the other must have had a spring issue because it wouldn't spring back up.I'm a smart man, so I took my controllers apart, as both had decayed into a disappointing state, and realized I could make 1 full controller if I was to swap out parts. In doing so I found out that the triggers for each type are designed differently, so make sure you get the right trigger for your model of controller. To do this, there is a program (DS4ID) you can download which, when you plug your controller into your PC, will tell you the version it is.Regarding the buttons, they're not as good as the originals, but they're not going to impact your gaming performance negatively. When assembling it's quite easy. Remove the 4 back screws with a tiny phillips, pop out backing plate. Remove wire connecting backing plate to controller motherboard. Pop off your current buttons. The 1 buttons go in easy, just get that front lip in first. L2 gets a spring on the right, R2 gets a spring on the left, put them on the buttons first, then you'll notice a vertical slot where you position them. Slide the corner with the spring in, while making sure the spring goes into that slot, then press the other corner in. Reassemble getting these buttons in first, then press the bottom pegs in and screw it all back together. GLGL!

All worked perfect, but one bumper button didn’t have the guide tubes that fit around the rails so it was just useless. Didn’t need that one though. Everything else was great.

Bought this just for the left bumper replacement and it doesn’t fit. Just jams and does not work no matter how hard I push on it.

So I purchased not knowing if that specific model of trigger was for my model controller's R2 trigger. It wasn't, however, just by looking at the mechanism and the inside of the controller I could easily see all I had to do was sip this little plastic peg out of the way trigger and it worked like a charm. I used nail clippers. 1 snip. And the product itself is overall pretty good. The plastic doesn't feel cheap and it came with all the parts needed. I have to say I'm pleased.

I replaced the right trigger of my ps4 controller as one of the black plastic tabs had broken off on the inside and the spring had wound up missing when i took it apart. I ended up replacing both springs in the triggers and putting in the new right trigger without any issues. I would order this again and will update the review if it breaks prematurely or I have any other issues. But for now it fit perfectly and did exactly what I wanted it to do. I didn't have any issues with fit and it ended up looking identical to the original one.

The pros to these replacement parts are you can use these specific parts to repair older model ps4 controllers. The cons are the part may need to be cleaner off a bit before installing them into the pre existing components. The plastic insert tabs had excessive plastic from what appears to be the molds use to make these parts. Also the L2 and R2 buttons weren’t completely rounded at the lock tabs making this install harder than it needed to be. You’ll need a exacto knife to help clean up excessive plastic.

Super easy to install. Holding up well to almost daily use.
