Excellent quality mix.
I have been a bread baker for decades, and stopped when I went gluten free and low carb. I needed something for occasional use, and did not want huge batches. This mix was the easiest, fastest I have ever tried and the taste and texture are excellent. If you need this for religious reasons as I did, it is halachically acceptable with details on the label. It is a little high in sugar for me, so I made it into rolls. It actually made 20 rolls of acceptable size. I added raisins for the High Holidays, and this was quite a treat. It is more expensive than baking from scratch, but the speed and ease are worth it expecially if you have a lot of other cooking to do.

Pretty good, but expensive
I am new to this gluten-free challah thing (I'm breastfeeding my baby boy who I just found out has multiple allergies including wheat). The kit made 14 challah rolls for me. The one I tried tasted pretty good right out of the oven, though these are very likely the most expensive challah rolls I've ever had (considering the kit cost $16, plus $12 for yeast because it's so hard to find these days, though I'll have plenty to use for the future, then you need some of your own gluten-free flour to add if you want to shape the dough, and not including eggs and oil which are pretty cheap considering). I wish this was cheaper or at least included the yeast. I know I can buy a 3-pack for the cost of 2 individually, but I'm still trying to decide if this is all worth it.I do have a ton of yeast now, so I'll probably bite the bullet and buy more packages of this mix. After all, I know I won't be making regular challah any time soon.

Made delicious gluten free challah!
I was very leery of a gluten-free mix like this but we're so sad we cannot have challah for shabbat that I gave it a shot. I followed the recipe on the blends by orly website so we could have true challah for ha-motzi and birkat ha-mazon. I must've done something a bit off because I didn't get a braidable, kneadable loaf. So I used our new challah shaped silicone molds. I still was worried about how it would turn out. We were so delighted when we sat down for erev shabbat dinner. The challah was moist, fluffy, it didn't crumble like so many other gluten free mixes that I've made (and I've made my own blends). We were so glad we got it.The price was a bit shocking for what you get. And I was a bit disappointed I still had to supplement to get ha-motzi bread. But the mix made two large loaves and four small challah rolls which if I had to buy a gluten free challah from the store would've ended being about the same price anyway. I froze what we didn't eat and we can't wait to tear into the loaves this coming erev shabbat.Would definitely buy again. Mazel tov to Orly for helping us have challah again!

Incredible!
I had no idea there was a gluten free baking blend in the world that is elastic enough to be braided! Amazing! I do wish the baking tips that Orly emails after purchase had been sent before my order arrived because they would’ve made a difference. I baked a challah within a few hours of receiving my order and the emailed tips came after it was out of the oven. I will definitely buy the challah blend again, as well as the try the other blends and use Orly’s recipes. If the challah turned out this good, the others are also sure to be fantastic!

Gluten-free = keep playing until you get it right!
I'm a very experienced bread baker, and I've used this challah mix twice with mixed results. I have to give full points to Orly for reaching out to me with her experience. My first try turned out something like a burnt hockey puck, but it tasted good, according to those who ate it. The second try, where I added in much more gluten-free flour (in addition to the mix), added additional yeast, and cut back on the baking time, was much more successful in terms of looks, and was also delicious. My new daughter-in-law was blown away that she had a challah that looked like a challah for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

yummy! and easy!
My son has celiac so we are always on the lookout for good GF products. We've tried the original challay by Orly and had success. Since that seemed to be on backorder, by son begged to try the choice chip version. We made it by the recipe in a stand mixer with paddle. Then dumped the entire batter into a silicone challah mold. Used wet spatula to smooth out. It makes 1 'large' challah in the mold. Bake for 20 min in mold then flipped onto parchment paper on cookie sheet. Egg wash. Bake another 20 min. Came out great and of course, chocolate chips make any kid enjoy it more. It's a little pricey but I think worth it once in a while. Certainly more like challah than other breads we've tried.

Fantastic Results!
This is a great mix! Yes, it’s expensive, but unfortunately gluten free flours are expensive in comparison to wheat flour. I used it to make cinnamon rolls by following the package directions for the Challah dough and then just rolling it out, filling and cutting like cinnamon rolls. Kept in the fridge as shaped dough overnight and then let rise for an hour in the morning. Baked at 375 for about 35 minutes. Not only was the dough super easy to work with in comparison to some other gluten free doughs (albeit a bit sticky), but it baked up to fluffy perfection! Best gluten free cinnamon rolls I’ve had since being diagnosed with Celiac 4 years ago. And that includes dozens of recipes I’ve made and tried to adapt myself, and every opportunity I’ve had to try them from GF bakeries. For my use this made 10 biggish cinnamon rolls and 1 mini loafs of cinnamon babka made from the excess trimmings. So yes, this mix is expensive but it makes a lot and as a treat it is so worth it!

Delicious results
This creates a very lovely roll. But given that I had no other gluten free flour in the house I couldn’t think of braiding the dough. It was far too loose.I don’t have a stand mixer so I kneaded it by hand. Created an excellent crumb.Better than any of the commercial galleries or local bakeries’ gluten free challot. The result is most and almost cake like. Sweet for challah. Delicious. Will definitely make it again
