If you're here, reading this review, on this page, then you're probably looking for a face mask to help keep germs outside, on the outside, and inside germs, on the inside. That should be the function of any medical mask. That's also what the product description claims. But listen here friend, that's not what these do. There are certifications that medical masks must meet to be used effectively - if they don't meet that certification than there's no gauge of quality - and often times the masks are nothing more than a fancy coffee filter with stringy bits. These masks are like fancy coffee filters with stringy bits. These will slow down how fast germs get in and out of you, but if you're close enough to some tuberculosis patient to swap spit, then you've made a mistake bringing these to the party. Likewise, if that patient starts coughing blood on you, that blood is going to find it's way in. Do not buy these masks unless you're just going to use them for silly things. If you're looking for the real thing, here's what you want to look for: N95. That's the certification. I know the prices are high right now, it's because of the ebola rush. There's been gouging. Grit and bear through it.
