Better Homes and Gardens Orange & Cedarwood Essential Oil Infused Wax Cubes - 3-Pack

The best!!! Everyone that walks into my home and smells this scent, loves it!!!

I love the smelly waxes so I thought would give this particular scent a go. After all... I love the smell of oranges and cedar.Unfortunately I suffered a bit of olafactory trauma with this one today.I get up for work around 1 am and usually get home around 10 am and since my 50 year old brain can't shut off for sleep any earlier than midnight... The nap is necessary for the safety of my immediate neighbors (hot flashes, insomnia, and menopausal - you see the problem right?)This morning I popped one of these orange cedarwood wax melts in my handy little smelly wax burny thingy as I walked out the door for work. I daydreamed of my nap the whole time I was at work. Don't judge me. Menopausal... Remember?I got home and flopped myself down on the sofa and queued up the latest episode of Love After Lockup (it's a trainwreck and I am unable to look away - who comes up with this crap? Seriously). At this time, I had forgotten the smelly wax and honestly couldn't smell anything but the lingering aroma from the breakfast I served the crew at work.Pretty soon I started to drift off to sleep and then.... The smell hit me.I spent the next hour going through this house touching every electrical cord and putting my hand over every outlet to see if anything was hot. I thought for sure there was a fire somewhere ready to declare itself.During this time I was crawling around on the floor, sprawled out reaching into dark places that haven't been vacuumed in none of your business how long... It's been awhile tho. I scratched my knee on something in the process and might need a tetanus shot but...I never found anything hot but the smell still lingered so I started the search again. When I got to the kitchen I remembered that I had not checked the smelly wax thingy. It was plugged in too. I grabbed the cord and it was cool to the touch but the unpleasant, panic-inducing, nap-preventing aroma was STRONGER.I leaned in slightly closer to it and took a big whiff.... The source of the odor was the scented wax. My eyes are still watering 12 hours later.So in conclusion: The quality control person either has a broken sniffer and has NO idea what Orange & Cedarwood smells like or you should seriously consider renaming this particular scent to something more accurate.Might I suggest Burnt Hair & Smoldering Electrical Fire?Just thought you should know...P.S. I will continue to purchase and enjoy the other scented waxes by Better Homes & Gardens but this one is a giant bucket of NOPE.
