COUNTERFEIT - NOT REAL FOGRING BY NEOTIZEN! Does not work!!
I purchased this product because it said it was the Fogring. The Fogring is made by Neotizen, and is a great product. The product page even uses pictures of the Fogring from Neotizen's website. When the product arrived, however, it was in a cheap blue package that proclaimed "Doughnut Humidifier!" I knew immediately from the characters and the poor translations that it was a Hong Kong counterfeit, however, sometimes those still work, so...I plugged the humidifier in, deciding to go ahead and try it out. The ring is supposed to work by touch, and it does, after a fashion. It's really difficult to get it to work. The blue light setting is supposed to run continuously for 6 hours, while the yellow is supposed to run continuously for 3 hours. However, I discovered that no matter what setting I put it on, it would shut off after about ten minutes. When I'd attempt to get it going again, it would sputter and then refuse to work. After drying the water from the sensors on the bottom, I was able to get it working again...only for it to shut off again in about ten minutes. I went through this cycle about five times before I finally gave up. Thankfully, Amazon was amenable and gave me a refund, but this doesn't help me much. I bought this because I have sinus issues and am traveling to a dry climate in about nine days. I ordered it in plenty of time for my trip, but now that I have to purchase a different drop-in humidifier, I don't think I've got time for it to get here. I'm looking at the one on Think Geek, which I wish I'd just purchased to begin with, and it's going to take some time to get here - it may not get here in time. I'm really frustrated and angry that my time and money were wasted. Please, save your money, buy something else.

It's not going to humidify a room, but it ...
It's not going to humidify a room, but it does put out some water. I use it as a bedside table item. The negatives are that it sometimes makes a very high pitched noise that is unpleasant when trying to sleep. It also has two "modes" that are differentiated by colored lights. The "blue" mode light is a bit bright for my sleeping taste. But it definitely pulls water from the glass and puts it in to the air. It's size makes it convenient for hotel stays.
