Mighty Mule MM500ARM Replacement Gate Arm for FM500

We've had our gate opener for four or five years and out of the blue it stopped opening or closing and was blowing fuses. A quick call to MM tech support confirmed that the motor in the opener arm was bad. Other than sticker shock over the price of a replacement unit it was shipped quickly and installed in less than 15 minutes. It might just be my imagination but I swear the MM model opens faster than our old FM.

It was very hard to get in contact with the sellers. I would call 20 times a day and the phone would just ring and vm was full. After 3 days of trying someone answered. Once phone answered, very nice

Replacement only took a few minutes, gate was up an running again. each arm seems to last a few years, I'm gonna try to find the motor next time instead of replacing the entire arm and save a hundred or two

If you're having gate problems go to trouble shooting at the Mighty Mule web site. You can print off instructions and take them to the gate for troubleshooting. If you call service at Mighty Mule they are of little help. One told me that the replacement gate arm never went bad. After using their trouble shooting instructions I discovered the motor was shot, it had opened the gate overs 30,000 times over a eight year period.

i wish i had known for another $100. i could buy whole system not warth price . specialy beings the arm wasnt the problem

Once I found out that the FM502 they sent me was the same as the FM500 I had ordered, I felt confident that my purchase was going to be satisfactory. And it was. The arm fit my gate, it's been opening it, and I couldn't be happier.There are only 2 suggestions I would like to give you: 1) include some instructions with the packaging, 2) include explanation that both arms, FM500 & FM502 work the same.Thank you.
