I have had this for a year now, and very happy with the purchase.It fits both our SUV and our tiny mini-car. The material is very sturdy and can easily be hosed off to keep it clean.The straps that go around the headrests are adjustable, and it has plastic anchors that do a great job keeping the hammock set in place, even when our dogs moves around a lot in the back. There also velcro openings allow access to seat belts and car seat latches.The material itself is padded for comfort and also pretty non-slippy.There is a front flap, that keeps the dog in the back and prevents them from jumping up front, but it's not like those nets that totally prevent the dog from moving. Any dog larger than a toy dog could easily get over it and into the front seat, so there is still an element of human responsibility in keeping the dog in the back. That hasn't been a problem for us, as our dog would much rather stick his head out the windows than be interested in what's happening up front.When we got our puppy, i was concerned about the interior condition of my new car. That concern was totally alleviated with this hammock! Our dog isn't a big shedder, but he sure loves to romp around in dirt and mud and so far my upholstery has remained in mint condition thanks to this covering.

We have had our Dog Hammock for a little over a week and so far we just love it. The hammock covers the entire back seating area of the car protecting it from dirt and dog fur. It also protects the leather from being ripped or marred by our dog. The car is new and we were quite worried about how we would transport the dog. This seems to be a great product....well made, good quality, easy to install and, because it is black, it actually looks very attractive on the back seating area. We have not yet had to wash the hammock so I can't say how it will hold up but it does look like it is substantial enough to withstand a good washing. Our medium size dog has no problem sitting on the hammock. An added bonus is that she is now deterred from poking her head and upper body between the two front seats. It seems to act as a natural boundary keeping her in the back of the car and making driving with her safer. I would recommend the hammock highly.

Updated: I have now washed this on cold about 3 times and the backing comes off with little black rubbery beads everywhere in my machine. I dry it outside. works well although the front seat straps to make the hammock can be challenging if the seats need to be moved all the way forward. I no longer use the front straps for this reason.The hammock is made very well and easy to apply to the back seat. I have a seat belt attachment for my dog so it is nice to have the car seat belt clip slip easily through a Velcro opening, if needed. There is additional room on the ends if your car is wider approx 5 inches each side.

This is a great value for the price. The size is good for a Mazda CX-5 / small SUV and the material quality is good. We made some modifications to suit our usage. I split the material on both sides of the center seat section so that all 3 seat sections can be either up or down, independently. I marked down about 22 inches on both sides of center seat, stopping just before the seatbelt opening. Then, I sewed a heavy zigzag stitch on both sides of this line and cut down the center. (Similar to a buttonhole) Of course, zippers would've been ideal, but they were more difficult and increased the cost. I sewed web straps, similar to the others 2, on this section. Works great!

I think this is a really good and competitively priced product. This is my second purchase. I bought my first Barney's cover over three years ago and it has held up much better than another brand I bought for my wife's car. This Barney's is to replace the aforementioned other brand in my wife's car which has gotten much less use.Our dog is a 90 pound Pyrenees and she usually rides 5-10 miles a day in my car and like to move around. The cover stays in place, provides adequate padding and good traction, and cleans up fairly well. I've waited about a month to write this review to make sure it is as good as my first one. It is.

Overall it’s held up really well. I bought it in 2019 when I was dog sitting but didn’t get my own dog until April 2021. I follow the instructions and wipe it down to clean. Finally put it in the wash on gentle cycle for the first time yesterday. The hammock did not hold up as you can see from the photos. Disappointed.

I have 3 Boston Terriers that truly have no sense of balance - like seriously NONE - not even when walking 🤦🏼‍♀️ So it’s always tricky transporting them anywhere. This is easy to install (I have a ram 2500 had no problems) and they’ve - thus far - not managed to hurt themselves during the short trips to the vet. Before I swear one or all three would fall to the floorboard EVERY SINGLE TIME🙄 - I’m so grateful they haven’t figure out a way to get their heads caught up ....yet. Bottom layer does leave residue on the seats but since I was only trying to keep the fur babies from dying within 2 miles then it works great! Recommend for clumsy fur babies!

CHANGED MY MIND after 2 months of use: the front part of the hammock that attached to headrest of driver's seat has ripped where the straps are sewn -- and this whole section of the hammock is of a different material, i.e. much thinner and cheap. WILL NOT BUY THIS AGAIN.__________ I just purchased a new automobile and was waiting for this cover before I let my dog set foot in the new car. The cover is strong, durable, and somewhat absorbent for wet paws and underbellies. The fit isn't bad given they have to do a once-size-fits-all and it is adjustable. One feature I would like to see in the future are "side flaps" that you could pull over the outer sides of the seat bench near the car door. Hair tends to collect in this area.:
