Temperature Sensor (7790) Replacement (Water/Air/Solar)

This seemed like a good value when I bought it last year. I had to put a new O ring on it because it leaked, then it failed after 9 months. I contacted the seller and was told it only had a 30 day warranty. I bought another one last week, and had to put a new O ring on it because it leaked also. I'm hoping this one lasts longer than 9 months. If not, I won't be buying another one.

This is the second sensor I've purchased in 6 months. I would think they should last longer than six months. I will reserve a five star if this one will last 12 months.

Worked well for a while, but after 9 months it started giving false readings (saying the pool was 140 degrees!)

Not very accurate. Easy to install.

I can't give this product a good review because my sensor started displaying higher temperatures after a week of using it 200+ f. I started the return process and right when I was about to return it,it started working properly again. So i decided not to return it. Hopefully it continues to work properly...i have another sensor on standby just in case it fails.

I recommend this model... Accurate. A bit more expensive. Installs easily, just need a small screwdriver (for the two wires in the controller) and a larger screwdriver for the strap. The generic model is not accurate.

This product lasted only about 10 months. It worked fine for that period of time. It only has a 30 day warranty, so even thought I never buy extended warranties it might be worth it in this case. The same sensor before this one lasted for 4 years. You would think it would carry at least a 1 year warranty.
