One Mole Digging a Hole

I am a teacher for preschool children. I would buy this book again. It teacher numbers, counting, and rhyming. My students love the story. It is a great 2 - 5 year old book. I bought the board copy so I can leave it on the shelf and it stays nice. Good buy.

Julia Donaldson can't be beat for catchy rhyming prose for early readers. This book provides great counting practice. The pictures are entertains and provide great picture clues so little ones feel like they are really reading.

My son discovered this book while at nursery school. He would talk about it all the time so we decided to add it to our home library. He loves to listen to the story and can now recite parts of the book while I read. It has cute rhymes about different creatures doing garden work.

Colorful illustrations, catchy rhymes to help your little one with learning to count and with a great outdoor / love of gardening theme, this really is a great book to have and fun to read night after night!

Love this book for my 2.5 year old. He has the series of all three by this author/illustrator duo and they're great books. Funny, well-illustrated, and I don't mind reading them over and over again, which is often requested.

This is very good book for 2 year old. I return this book because my son is grown up for this book. I wish I bought it a year ago.

You can never go wrong with this author. This book combines humor, counting and rhyming to entertain and educate. The pictures are very colorful.

Very good book for basic recognition and understanding of numbers up to ten. Each page has a very simple but cheerful short rhyme about animals gardening.

We purchased the board book copy for our 24 month old boy. We only have to say the number (as it's a 1 to 10 counting book with rhyming text) and he tells us the rest from the wonderful pictures. The use of rhyme is really good to keep them interested and perfect for helping with speech. 1 mole digging a hole, 2 snakes with garden rakes, 3 bears picking pears, 4 foxes filling boxes, 5 storks with gardening forks and so on... Since we purchased this book I've lost count how many times my little boy has brought me this book to sit and read with him, he really loves this book and his speech has improved also.

Bought this because we were so impressed with others in the collection, but 'chocolate moose for greedy goose' is a million times better. This book isn'y great

Love the rhyming text. My 3 year old grandson loves this book! Arrived promptly and was well packaged. Recommended.
